Whispers of the Devil

Whispers of the Devil

I don’t even want to think of the implications that would hold for Tanner and me. Swallowing thickly, I force myself to keep reading. After listing out the names of the dead, the author shifts from fact to speculation, notating some of the theories that have arisen over the years. This feels like safer territory. A lot of these conjectures are rumors I’ve heard over the years: the land is haunted, or cursed, or there are witches and demons in the swamp. But there’s no proof for any of these, and I end up with more questions than answers by the time I’m finished reading.

SAVED BY THE LYCAN KING

SAVED BY THE LYCAN KING

She smiled and they all forgot me. "I am not here to ask for revenge," I lied. "I’m here to offer a solution." The room leaned forward, sensing what was to come. "I have done what none of you dared. I have awakened the Devourer." The silence that followed was thick and suffocating. "You lie," one whispered. "I do not." "The Devourer hasn’t been seen since Kraden!" gasped another. "That thing destroyed empires—" "Cities vanished under its shadow!" shouted someone else.

The devil’s prey

The devil’s prey

The teacher replied that this was a class about the country's history, not about Catholicism and such. "But, sir, fallen angels exist, right?" he asked. I raised my gaze since that question, for some reason, caught my interest. "Obviously, Mark, they are demons now," the somewhat exasperated teacher replied. "But are they on Earth in human form or are they spirits?" "Spirits." "How can you be so sure?" the boy insisted. "It's in the Bible, Mark, I recommend you read it; you'll find many of your questions there." "I've always thought fallen angels are like you and me, the fallen ones, of course, because the angels of light, I believe, are spirits. If the fallen ones are on Earth, why wouldn't

A Deal with Desire

A Deal with Desire

Xal'dar, drawing upon his dwindling memories of Xylos' forgotten libraries, scoured for knowledge of similar creatures from his world. One evening, as they huddled around a flickering candle, Xal'dar slammed a weathered scroll on the table. "The Devourer," he rasped, his voice laced with a newfound urgency. "That's what the creature is called. A being born from the essence of a dying world, its sole purpose to consume and destroy." Evie's heart hammered against her ribs. "Is there anything in the text about defeating it?" Xal'dar shook his head, despair clouding his eyes. "Only legends… whispers of a weapon forged from the combined essence of two worlds, a weapon capable of banishing the Dev

Dear Devil

Dear Devil

No women. “A devil with no weakness,” she murmured, the words barely louder than the crunch of the apple. Then a memory surfaced: the way he had devoured her the entire night, slow and relentless, as if her body were the only sin worth savoring. Her fingers tightened subconsciously around the book on devils she had just finished reading. Its pages had spoken of their insatiable hunger for untouched souls, pure, unchanging, untouchable. The moment a soul was altered in any way, it slipped forever from their grasp.

THE WOLFLESS LUNA

THE WOLFLESS LUNA

The celestial court erupted in horror. “What is she doing?” Stop her!” The First Queen suddenly stepped in front of them all. “No.” Tears burned in her silver eyes while moonlight trembled around her body. “Let her finish.” I closed my eyes and followed the bond deeper into Kael’s darkness. The hunger immediately turned toward me. Endless. Ancient. Starving beyond reason. But beneath it, pain existed too. The Devourer was not merely consuming creation because it hated existence. It was devouring because it had been severed from connection itself since the beginning of time.

Bait for the devil

Bait for the devil

“Return to the world of men. Forget the blood. Forget the beast.” I reached for the obsidian stone. It was burning against my skin, but I didn’t pull away. I closed my eyes and stopped fighting the images. Instead, I dove into them. I didn’t look at the cellar as a prison; I looked at it as the place where I first felt the spark of the Devil. I didn’t look at the silver as pain; I looked at it as the price I paid to save my mate. I found the memory of Girard’s touch in the study—the way his hands had claimed me, the way his soul had recognized mine before his mind even knew my name.

The Billionaire Alpha's Revenge

The Billionaire Alpha's Revenge

The voice echoed from everywhere at once—a deep, guttural snarl that vibrated with Alpha authority. From the shadows between the data racks, figures began to emerge. They weren't Wardens. They weren't Eaters. They were werewolves. But they were wrong. They were massive, their fur spectral and translucent, glowing with a sickening, corrupted purple light. Their eyes were empty voids. "Ghost Alphas," Charon hissed, taking a step back. "The Devourer consumes everything. Even the souls of the True Alphas who fell fighting it across the cosmos. It kept them. Enslaved them. Turned them into its immune system."

Beloved Of The Lycan King

Beloved Of The Lycan King

“My Lady.” That felt even stranger. “What’s happening?” Theodore asked. Killian’s expression darkened. “Reports from three neighboring packs,” he said. “Entire territories abandoned overnight. Something massive passed through them.” My chest tightened. “The Devourer,” I whispered. Killian nodded grimly. “Survivors say the ground decayed beneath its steps. Wolves lost their strength just by being near it.” Aetherion stepped forward behind us. “As expected,” he muttered. “It feeds on energy.”

Loving Luna

Loving Luna

Not one creature, but a collection – the remnants of people absorbed into the ancient network. Luna's stomach churned. "How many are inside you?" The woman looked towards her. "Too many." The words were clearer now. Behind her, another Devourer climbed through the floor. Then another. They didn't attack, they gathered. Aren stared at them. "You destroyed the western plain." The woman looked towards him. "Yes." "Why?" "Quiet." "You took their choices." "They hurt." "Who?" "Everyone." The answer struck Luna harder than she expected. The Devourers hadn't invaded out of a lust for power. They consumed choice because every individual decision entered their collective awareness, creating unbearabl
