"I know roles are assigned. But anyone can take a part. I want to hear the play, not the casting. Don't get comfortable — your role might change." She takes a breath. "Now — who can tell me what this play is about?" A girl raises her hand. "Two men lying about their names to chase girls." "Good. And?" Mrs. Cetera waits. Another student: "It's a comedy. About manners. And food. And handbags." A few people laugh.

"Don't make a scene! Everyone here is part of the elite circle. If you storm out like this and the Gallagher family hears about it, they'll be even more against us." Against them? What was there to be against? Hadn't he already married Rebecca? Then, the cheerful tune of "Happy Birthday" filled the room. Evelyn forced a faint smile, but she stood there like a lifeless statue, her expression void of joy. Then, out of nowhere, someone picked up the puppy and shoved it into her arms. A shiver ran down her spine, and goosebumps broke out across her skin. Halfway through the song, the restless puppy wriggled free and jumped down.

Thank goodness. He pulled out a neatly bound folder, sliding it across the table. “Here. The draft of the play concept.” Instant relief washed over me. This was casual Work. Justin launched into a pitch with surprising intensity, outlining a love story filled with modern twists and emotional beats. A young couple separated by ambition, passion, betrayal—things young people were drawn to. He talked with his hands, his eyes lighting up, voice rising and falling like he’d practiced this forever. Or even lived through his characters lives.

******one year ago******* It was the sweetest most romantic thing anyone’s done for me. We were watching a play on Broadway entitled Love Of My Life which Christopher said was written by the daughter of one of their top clients. He invited my parents too since the clients gave him free tickets. It amazed me that the play was so similar to my life. It was about a woman named Helen who was born into a rich family , but who grew up stubborn and not wanting to have anything to do with her father’s business. She managed to own her own jewelry store through her own hard work. Somewhat similar events of my college life were included as well as about my parents’ reputation; Everything was similar ex

Haven't said that word yet. Neither of us has, it's sitting in the room like furniture we walk around. But it's there every time he does something like print a program on cardstock at the copy shop where the guy definitely read it and wondered about his sanity. Act One survives four minutes. The sea captain gets one line before I'm across the couch and in his lap, program crushed somewhere under my knee. "Ma'am. There's a whole dramaturgical structure-" "Intermission." "Intermission is scheduled, there are refreshments-"

He said and waited for my response excitedly. "There are 6 Acts to run this show. Act #1: Assassination of the Crown Prince. This particular assassination is referring to the woman who was sent by the Empress to eliminate the crown Prince and make you--the current Empress' son--the next in line for the throne. But since you came here, this was our encounter when we first met each other and tried to kill each other. Jeez, I made a fool of myself and ruined my first impression." I remembered that humiliating scene that made me loose my appetite.

It was a time for completing projects, doing homework and the likes. I went inside the library in hopes to see a book that I can read to past my time. As I sat down on one table in a corner, I opened the book I got from the shelf. It's title is "After the Stage Ends". The story is about a group of opera actors. The female actress fell in love with her co-actor, the main lead of their play. However, after the curtain falls and the play ended, she found out that her co-actor is in love with the girl in their opera group who is playing a side character role.

"It's already way past midnight! Why are you so late?" I was already exhausted from the sudden overtime work I had to put in. However, as soon as I sat down on the couch, he'd already started questioning me. Angrily, I snapped back, "You're the one who cheated, so why are you making such a huge fuss? You should be thankful that I'm even here in the first place!" As soon as he heard me call him a cheater, he froze for a split second. After recollecting his thoughts, he softened up and tried to justify himself. "I'm an award-winning A-list actor now, so you're not a good fit for me anymore."

Clement declared his love for me, but when his phone rang, he went straight for it. "What? How did that happen? Don't worry, I'm coming now. Wait for me!" He looked panicked. I saw him hang up, and my heart ached seeing it. It was quiet in the ward, and I could hear the woman on his call a moment ago. Things were crumbling between us, but he still wouldn't give up on his so-called "scandalous fling", not even for a second. Clement had just left when my phone buzzed with a push notification about the latest gossip—"Rising Star Actress Plays Diva While Assistant Gets Bossy in Public."
