"She's trying to take you from me," Christiana said quietly. The emotion in her voice was different now—stripped of the anger, leaving something rawer underneath. "I don't think you see it because she's subtle about it. She's been subtle from the beginning. She sees exactly what she's doing, even if you don't."
"She's not taking anything." Antonio's voice had softened fractionally. "Christiana—"
