“We saw the gifts you sent us. The Ankara prints are so beautiful!” I returned her smile with a small one of my own, bowing slightly in greeting.

As I scanned the bustling square, my eyes landed on Anu, struggling with the huge 14 feet Christmas tree as the center of the square. Without hesitation, I made my way over to her. She was trying to steady the tree on its stand, her face knotted in a frustrated frown.
