I paced around nervously while she just laughed at me. "Calm down missy." "Calm down?, I'm meeting his mom, his freaking mother Naomi, how the hell can I be calm?" Henry had called me earlier and told me to get ready, he said he'll be at my place in half an hour and we would be going to his mother's place. "You look awesome babe." "You think so?"I accessed myself in the mirror for the third time. Naomi had chosen a blue dress that was flair from the waist down because of my stomach. It stopped just at my knees and had silver decorations all over it.

I looked up towards the open doorway of the hidden room and waited. “What’s wrong?” Rem asked though he didn’t take his eyes off of the notes he was going over. However, before I could say anything at all, the high-pitched squealing of a woman echoed out into the library. “Rath!” Rem flinched. I blinked as a tall woman in heels almost skidded around the corner and peered right at me. She had long blonde hair, which fell in natural twirls. Her eyes were that wonderful bright blue, which easily caught my attention. She was drop-dead gorgeous. There was no mistaking her job at all. She was as elegant and as stylish as any model or actress I had ever seen in photos. Perhaps even more so.

Skye spoke as they resumed walking while they watched Iero looking so dreamy about Hierro’s world. Hierro sighed in relief. “But, you also don’t have to be tense, yourself.” Skye told him. Hierro fell silent. “I know that Blue has become your friend, too, like Hail. But – “ Skye spoke as he held Hierro’s hand. “ – you should know that Blue is a fairy. Even though the fairies of this world are transparent, making them look weaker, but you know that Blue, the fairy from our world, is not.” He said. “Blue is very tough, or else how would he have survived being trapped in his own forest by our grandmother, Yuria, for ten years?” he asked.

Blue, for once in her life, hadn’t been ridiculously overdressed. Stood beside the petite blonde woman almost half a foot shorter and certainly far smaller, she was sure she could wear her wedding gown and still feel underdressed. Dressed in a brown floral two-piece with a top that hardly covered her swelling breasts and skirt that hung from her ribs to her ankles, she was certain she could look the part of wealthy heiress she had been so well prepared to play. But looking at Sandra’s suit and luxury camisole peeking out from beneath, Blue couldn’t help but wish she’d traded her colossal canvas wedge heels for a pair of sneakers… she’d certainly feel all the same; plain, unextraordinary.

Damn, I feel like Cinderella now. "It matches your beautiful eyes," he said as he took the dress from me. "Let me help you with that." "That's why you always pick blue dresses for me?" "Yes," he pecked my cheek. "It's perfect for a Queen." He bent down and held the dress open for me. I stepped in, and he carefully zipped it up. The dress hugged me tightly. It was a perfect fit, and it felt so comfortable even though it was decorated with diamonds around the side, creating a beautiful pattern.

They did not notice a small figure crouched in the corner of the living room, covering her ears in terror. She was still wearing the dress I had never worn before—the one that had been taken back to the mall and exchanged for a smaller size. I drifted over, hugged my knees, and curled up across from her, staring at the dress on her body. It was blue, studded with rhinestones, and very beautiful as it glittered brightly. Like the dress Cinderella wore in cartoons. Daddy had promised long ago that he would buy it for me if I passed my exam.

She didn’t want to say anything to break the trance he was currently in and gave herself completely to him but she had other plans. Abby was dressed in the form of a fairy tale princess with a tiara placed on her head. She wore a royal blue elegant gown that was free from the waist down and tight from the waist up. It was sleeveless but had matching blue gloves and a pretty short high heel. The bottom of the gown was adorned with blue sapphire crystals that gave the person wearing it an aura of beauty and warmth. The little girl was looking the cutest among all of her friends as she played together with them.

The owner, Lydia, looked up from the counter and smiled as soon as she saw us. “There’s my Homecoming girls,” she said. “You’re right on time. Jessa, your dress is ready.” My heart slammed against my ribs. Ready. No more safety net of “we’re still working on it” or “we’ll see how it fits after alterations.” This was it. This was the version I had to face in the mirror. Mariah nudged me forward. “Come on, Cinderella. Let’s see the magic.” I followed Lydia to the back, palms sweating. My dress hung alone on a hook outside the fitting room, protected by a plastic cover like it was something fragile and expensive. Even through the cloudy plastic, I could see the color—deep, rich sapphire blue.

Mila decides. I open my eyes. The maids have begun packing up the rest of the mess that makes the room look like a beauty store had hurricaned into it. The dresses, the make-up, the shoes, the beauty products, all of them are expertly gathered and carted out of the room. Mila holds out the blue dress and a pair of sparkly heels. The outfit reminds me a little of Jennifer Rooney and her Cinderella cosplay during prom. “You’ll look just like Cinderella.” Mila says, speaking out my thoughts.
