At the center hung a massive crystal chandelier, its glass droplets scattering faint light across the ceiling cold, yet exquisitely beautiful. This… was the room Vincent had given me when I first came to the Silverfang Pack.

She didn’t even have to speak for me to know this was all her doing. How is this happening to me? I thought bitterly. She stole everything — my bracelet which should have symbolized my identity, my peace, and now I am cleaning the floor she walks on. ‘What could be more than this?’ I thought to myself. “Should we start calling her Cinderella?” someone shouted, laughter rising. “Cinderella at least got a prince,” another voice chimed in. “I heard she tried to put out for Liam Vuitton, and he won’t touch her with a ten-foot pole now!”

When I finally returned to my room, exhaustion settled into my bones. I ate something light, showered, changed into my nightgown, and collapsed onto the bed. My phone buzzed softly as I scrolled, half-distracted. Then I stopped. A video thumbnail froze my thumb. Me. Younger. Small. I tapped it. The screen filled with a little girl in a pink princess costume, crown crooked, smiling too hard. “That was the day,” I whispered. The orphanage hall smelled like detergent and hope. I remembered twirling, holding my skirt out.

“When you're done, see yourself inside. The maids will come get your bags.” The hell! My cold hands covered my face in shame and anger as I crashed to the ground. I don't know why I even accepted such a deal in the first place? I can't even have my peace of mind anymore… one thing is certain, he'll drive me crazy soon and definitely, I'll maul him. In my dilemma, a warm hand brushed against my shoulder. My eyes shone brightly as I jerked my head sharply and rose to my feet. A beautiful looking Cinderella faced girl stood before me, her glowing eyes beaming with joy as she helped me back up.

Clide said making me shiver in frustration. Mera holds my hand as she sits back on her chair that Clide fixed for her. I look at her then I smile bitterly, this is why I have doubts about my Cinderella-like life here. But I am not Cinderella who will wait for a prince to save me or just look at the floor as they bully and insult me. I will have to show them another side of me, I’ll show them that they have hit a thicker wall that can give them back the pain but more pain.
