It was what I was supposed to do when dancing with someone from a higher station than myself.
Mr. Irson flushed slightly and I realized that I'd just paid him a compliment. I'd just thanked him not as a servant, but as a superior.
Sophie motioned the woman inside the room while Mr. Irson headed out.
“Zoey, this is Claudia Rigel,” Sophie said, motioning to the woman. “The best designer in Paradisa.”
“Oh, you flatter me,” the woman replied, but she did not blush. Instead, she turned and looked me over. “Strip, please.”
