Draken lunged, closing the distance in a blur, his hand closing around his brother's throat. He didn't use claws. He used raw, concentrated force. In less than thirty seconds, they were twitching heaps of meat at his feet.

Clarabelle said. They all stepped through the portal, and as it closed, Mammon turned back and saw Clarabelle grab her nightwalker’s neck, pull it closer to her, and hug it tightly. She rubbed her right cheek against the monster's head, tightening her arms around its neck. “Awww, you're so cute,” Clarabelle said. The monster roared in pain, and as her grip got too tight, its neck snapped. “Oops,” she said. She smiled suddenly, then turned to Mammon before the portal completely closed.

But, just as I was about to retreat, the monster appeared. "What exactly would that be?" Moritz inquired, pointing to the sand rushing towards us. "Sandcrawler!" I yelled. And then we all split up, unsheathing our swords. I sprang forward as the sand surged at me, gradually revealing the monster beneath. A lengthy worm-like monster with a thousand jaws capable of mutilating any living being. Clang! I slashed the beast in one swift motion, quickly drawing my sword. The only difference is that the expected outcome did not occur. This was the first time I wasn't able to kill a monster with a single strike.
