Deadly Game
I yelled, helping Malakai secure his right hand around the rungs.
With a final, desperate burst of adrenaline, we climbed. The wind threatened to rip us from the lines, but the primal will to survive kept our grip iron-clad. The moment our bodies rolled onto the metal floor of the helicopter bay, the doors slammed shut, and the aircraft pitched violently forward, disappearing into the safety of the storm-clouds.
