I continued to follow Kenan, and as we got closer to the hut, I could hear Clarisa's voice very clearly. "That's Clarisa's voice!" My scream made Kenan's friends run faster because they were relieved that it was a human voice and not a demon. They looked for a way to get inside, but it seemed the old hut had been locked from the outside. "Break it!" Kenan's orders. "Do you think I'm that strong?" Protest the guy in the black hoodie. "Move!" Exclaimed one of them with bald hair. The bald guy was carrying a very large piece of wood.

Claire’s POV “Please let me introduce everyone,” Thoran stands. “As you’ve met, Jax,” he nods. “This is Herk, Alpha of the Crescent Moon Pack.” He gestures to the hazel-eyed man. I hesitantly glance over at him. His smirk has become a grin. He reaches out for my hand, and I slowly take it to shake. But he brings it to his lips, eyes never leaving mine. “Nice to meet you, miss…?”

His metallic wings were spread and we watched in horror as the harbingers all swarmed on him. “Retreat!” He yelled, turning to face the swarm, obviously resigned to fate. I was already instructing Ko’vren to meet up with the carrier ship and jump back to Le’uthara when I saw a blue streak, going impossibly fast towards the oncoming swarm. That idiot, I thought still cursing under my breath. I set up a mental link with him immediately. “What the hell?!”, I yelled, banging my fist on the table. “You need to learn to trust me sometime

They were noting down something and then they moved backwards into the decontamination zone. I walked down the stairs slowly with my mentor and I held in a breath as through the glass and staff taking off their hazmat suits, I could see the contamination zone. I could see that there was row after row of cages of roaring alphas chained. I flinched with the betas with the sound increasing while Dr. Dawson stood his ground and smirked. "Those are people in cages?" I stuttered out my sentence wiping my eyes as I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

"Probably from Crescent Moon pack. Should we just leave her?" "No." The third voice stopped them cold. "Bring her." They lifted me like I weighed nothing, carrying me deeper into rogue territory than any pack wolf had ever returned from alive. But I was not pack anymore, was I? I was nothing. The Rogue King waited in a clearing that felt older than memory itself. Tall as a tree and twice as dangerous, with scars mapping his face like constellations. When his silver eyes met mine, I saw something I had not seen in days.

Kat retorted. “Lower your voice, oh my god,” Eli said, warning Kat for somebody might hear what she was saying. “The program had not even started, and yet you all are already fighting? Hi, Boss R!” Hugo spoke while coming near them, not forgetting to greet Eli’s father who came here for the occasion. They shook hands and Ross jokingly tightened his grip on Hugo’s hand.
