Hannah said dramatically, breaking the sweet moment and going to the cash to take the first orders. The day went by quickly and Hannah headed out an hour early to meet up with some of her friends. Alys didn’t mind closing up by herself, with only an hour left before closing it was usually pretty slow, so she used the time to get some of the closing jobs done early then she could lock up sooner. She was wiping down the tables and putting away books that people left out when she heard the bell ring again, looking at her watch she saw there was only 5 minutes until she closed.

I just need to prove to grandfather that I am what this company needs and I’ll finally put the both of them in their places. I opened my laptop and got to work, I had a restructuring plan going on for the company and I needed to complete it as soon as possible, I selected the account ready to finish up the work I had on it, I clicked on it but it wasn’t going through, I kept on clicking but it wasn’t going through, Frustrated I picked up the intercom and dialed my assistant’s office. “I’m sorry sir, Mrs Becky had us close down the account,” She replied politely as soon as I was done ranting.

She padded out to the front of the café. "I'm closing early. No one is coming in this," she said to Caitlin.

Owen mentioned something about closing the shop earlier to visit the bank, but it completely slipped my mind. "Yep," Owen says. "I hate the bank." "Hmm, well at least you look good," I say with a shrug. "Closing at twelve?" Zari asks. "Please," Owen responds and hands over his keys from his pocket. I get my phone out from my pocket and send a quick text to Emmett, letting him know which time to pick me up at. Owen left a little later and Zari and I put away the rest of the stock that came in. We made a display in the front window of the most recent books released and began closing up the shop when the time inched closer and closer to twelve.
