“You won’t.” The first strike came in the form of awareness: Trevon’s crew appeared from the surrounding alleys, thinking they could intimidate her, thinking she’d be caught off guard. But she had anticipated this. Dee and Aire moved as one, fluid and precise, stepping back into the shadows, using cover, positioning themselves so that every move counted. Carter gets a grip on Kai and throws him over his shoulder, and they are both on the ground, but Carter has Kai in a total body lock.

“All that power… unleashed. And soon… unstoppable.” Aiden gritted his teeth. “We stop it. Tonight. No excuses.” --- The First Strike Luca’s white-hot aura surged outward. Cars flew into the air like toys, streetlights twisted and shattered, and a section of the asphalt split into jagged teeth. Aiden leapt onto the nearest debris, trying to get closer. “Focus, Luca!” Aiden shouted. “Remember who you are! Remember us!” Inside the chaos, a glimmer of recognition flickered. Aiden saw Luca’s eyes flash blue, just for a heartbeat, before the white-hot storm swallowed them again.

Kade whispered, brushing her hair from her face, “we strike first. Not out of impulse, but strategy. Every move, every action, every whisper… calculated, precise. And we will not falter.” Lena pressed close, resting her forehead against his chest, feeling the steady, commanding heartbeat beneath. “Then let them watch. Let them fear. Blackwood will not just survive—it will dominate.” Kade’s fingers tangled in her hair, his lips brushing hers in a fleeting, grounding kiss. “And together,” he murmured, “we are unstoppable.”

“I bring justice.” Without further challenge, they launched into violence. The first blow cracked the night like thunder: Kael’s fist slamming into Rhorek’s ribs, splintering bone beneath fur. Rhorek staggered only for a heartbeat, then pivoted, half-shifting into wolf form as claws shredded Kael’s tunic and tore open his chest.

Instead, Kendrick pushed me behind him, shielding me completely. “She’s mine. I won’t let you near her.” Kaiden’s canines flashed. “Then you’ll have to kill me.” “Oh Trust me that can be arranged” Kendrick humored. The tension shattered into raw fury. They lunged. “No—!” I cried, but they didn’t hear me. Kaiden struck first, and Kendrick met him head-on. They crashed into each other with a thunderous growl, tumbling into the wall behind them. Glass shattered. Stone cracked.

After being fooled by him for so long, I finally got to trick him back right to his face once. "Terence, are you satisfied with the 50th revenge?" The wind swallowed most of my voice, but I knew he heard me. He stood frozen in place. As he stood there, stunned, a powerful blast ripped through the air. Flames erupted skyward, lighting up everything around. "Goodbye, Terence."

A striker rather than a grappler. "Weapons now," said Kade. He tossed each of us a training staff. "Same rules. First to land three clean hits wins." Tomas didn't wait until I was ready.
