I reply. We both laugh at that. I was with Jonny when we ran into Heather at some place in Kentucky. She was here looking at a college when they literally bumped into each other. She started yelling at him to watch where he was going. I laughed when they both realized they were mates. They have been inseparable since. Heather has been a great help. She still has a few friends that she talks to back in her old pack and they have been telling her what is going on.

I know Cyrus is feeling guilty for promising he would find her and coming back empty handed. Am I crazy for starting something with Cyrus? Our packs have been against each other for as long as I can remember. He just seems so removed from that. He is different, he is a good man. “You knocked me over and you were on top of me. I had to do something,” I say calmly. Cole loses it and lunges at Carlos. Other alphas jump in to stop him. “She helped me find my mate,” Heather tells everyone. The crowd gasps. “She is beautiful, and she lives in Amarillo,” Heather beams. Alpha Leo Heathers father from Blood Moon steps forward. He gives me a cold stare. “Do you know what you have done?” he asks with rage in his voice. “I helped your daughter find true love,” I tell him.

Heather moaned lightly when Killian’s lips pecked her breast. The phone began to ring again and they both sighed heavily. “This might be important” she said slowly and grabbed the phone on the sofa. “Who’s this?” “Do you want Riley to know about this or should I keep it a secret Miss Heather?” the caller said and Heather stared at Killian immediately, shocked. “I’m still recording though and I’m enjoying the live porn” the phone beeped twice and died.

Inside, Stacie fumed at Xander but she knew she had to watch her tongue. “What the hell is going on, Xander? What was that all about? Why did you freeze?” Xander didn’t want to tell her he knew she would keep bitching about it if he didn’t. “She’s my mate, Stacie. The girl is my mate.” Stacie froze, just as he expected her to. She couldn’t believe she finally found his mate after all these years and it was because of her. She had helped him find his mate. There wasn't way she was going to let her take Xander away from her. Not after all these years of hard work and trying to keep Xander to herself.

Not again. “How do you know all this, Cody?” I asked, my voice thick with disbelief. "Who told you about Lyra's intentions and her manipulation of Henry?" Cody looked at me with a haunted expression, his eyes reflecting a mix of fear and determination. "That's because….," he hesitated; his eyes seemed hollow and distant, as if he was recalling a painful memory. "Because I've seen it before," he finally said, his voice barely above a whisper. "I've seen what she's capable of, and I won't let her destroy another life."

Cody finally spoke. "Who is your mother?" Cheyne asked quickly. “Evangeline Alexander.” Cheyne immediately got up from his chair. Just like Bryan could barely breathe when he discovered Cody's actual mother, "Does that mean you are Alpha Xander's son?" Cheyne stammered out the sentence. Cody didn't answer. He looked alternately at Cheyne and Bryan, who were very shocked. "Who is your father? Answer me, Cody!" Cheyne emphasized it again. "I don't know. Mommy said, I don't have a dad." Cody answered honestly, without worry or fear. Cheyne released a long, heavy breath. He turned away from Cody while Bryan continued to stare at the boy.

She then read the words again. “Hea…Heather?...” He brows creased. Out of the blue, a scene passed by her view, rendering her to flinch. It was her memory of the time she jumped down the building. She remembered it vividly when a guy called her Heather before everything went black. But, what is the correlation between Heather and her? Why was this name is etched on a flesh and why is she inside this almost destroyed space? The ground shook, premoniting the coming of a fall. Elaine had no time to ponder more about it, yet she need more time to guess. Before the rubble of flesh again fell on her for the third time, she loudly announced a random sentence on a flesh.
