I grunt as two of the subjects burst through the flames.
“Keep on throwing,” Braden replies. “Even if we don’t kill them all, we need to get away, and we’re running out of places to hide.”
“I’ll spread the fire,” I say, lifting my palms and summoning the wind.
When the next bottle hits the road, I send wind, prompting the flames higher and wider. The men keep tossing bottles, and soon there is a wall of flames behind us.
“That should do it,” Braden exhales deeply when the subjects do not appear again.
