Marked in Shadows

Marked in Shadows

Matteo brushed off all my humiliation with just one simple sentence. My heart felt like it had been stabbed by a sharp blade. My eyes went blank, my mind completely numb. I did not know how long I sat on that cold floor until all the guests had left and the hall lights went out, shrouding my body in endless darkness. Slowly, I snapped back to my senses, pulled myself up, and stumbled out of there. Outside, rain was pouring down in sheets. I walked along the roadside, letting the rain soak me through completely. I could not tell if the water on my face was rain or tears.

Shadows of the Past

Shadows of the Past

It was not long before I sank into a deep and restful sleep. In the morning, however, I was greeted by another spectacle provided by the universe. Somewhere in the sky, where the sea and the heavens joined to form a unity, I glimpsed some playful lights eager for a new day full of adventure. Golden arrows slowly emerged, timidly trying to chase away the shadows of the night.

Mated to the Night Wolf

Mated to the Night Wolf

Her shadow remains still, only for a second, before it suddenly shifts detaching from and combining with the shadows coming towards me. I open the door and as it closes behind me, whispers of shadows fill the air, seeping from beneath its cracks and crawling after me in a cloud of death.

Well worth the wait! Your 55 chapters are more like 250 chapters of other authors. Your chapters are long, detailed and fully packed with more intrigue. The guard? I’m team Kayos, but it’s so beautiful how tender the guard was with her to let her know he will honor her…but I think there’s more.

This book is so good. I love the writing, the characters, the story and the execution. Perfection at its core but I have a problem, please could you release a chapter at least once a week. It’s not fair because I’m basically hooked on this book and I don’t get regular updates.

Fate's Shadow

Fate's Shadow

I stated before entering the bathroom for a shower. I stood beneath the shower as the water poured down, feeling lost. I had no idea what to do. Where could I even go? Much like Emily and Ava, I was trapped. I couldn't leave without an invitation because I was his luna. I couldn't imagine finding love. Nobody would be willing to try it with me. I felt trapped. I remained under the shower, tears streaming down my face. I tried to toughen my mind for the bad days coming, but it proved impossible. My heart was shattered, and fear held me tightly.

Tides of Passion: The Pirate's Curse

Tides of Passion: The Pirate's Curse

As she spoke, the first shadow dissolved into shimmering mist, vanishing into the air like an echo. “I am not the sacrifices I’ve made,” she continued, her voice stronger now, rippling with newfound empowerment. The second specter faded in response, a ghost of doubt rendered powerless against her recognition of its transient hold. And then came the final shadow, the deepest wound—the fear of rejection that had stifled her spirit for far too long. “I am not unworthy!” she cried, the tears streaming freely down her cheeks. The last shadow dissipated, engulfed in the gentle moonlight, allowing her to breathe in the clarity that flooded the space.

Beneath The Shadows

Beneath The Shadows

The truck sped across the muddy beaten path full of tire tracks from other vehicles. Lukas stared at the bright sky. Even if it was morning, the fact that the things they fight in the shadows existed made the world a dark one that no sunrise could ever illuminate. Back when he was living in ignorance, everything was colorful but when he was pulled into a battlezone where incarnated nightmares are the belligerents, everything just becomes black and white. And he thought that the Moro rebellion was dark enough. This conflict, simply known in the documents as the Shadow War, had made him see everything.

The Shadow That Follows Me

The Shadow That Follows Me

Sylendra gulped in horror before roaming her eyes back and forth at the huge cabin of her foster brother. Taking two steps ahead. "W-who is it?" Sylendra pronounced in horror while still being attentive feeling fear striking through her spine, she crunched her shirt near her chest and torso which she was still holding to hide her nudity. She tried to cover her exposed skin and immediately opening the buttons of the shirt, Sylendra slipped her arms into the fabric effortlessly in seconds fearing to display her body more in such a dangerous and creepy situation. She buttoned the fabric on in quick manner with her shaking fingers while still having her eyes round the cabin with alertness.

The Cursed Luna's Return

The Cursed Luna's Return

The ritual. The luminous pool. The sudden agony—like something breaking free within me. “You’re lying.” Yet my voice trembled. Shadow-Me advanced, and the world around her dimmed. Even the crickets fell silent. The trees recoiled from her presence. "I embody all that you repress," she murmured. "Your fears. Your anger. Your uncertainties. I represent the part of you that endures by any means necessary." I stepped back, my breath hitching. "No... I am nothing like you."

My dear enemy

My dear enemy

She had to face her shadow self head-on, to confront the darkest corners of her own heart. With a deep breath, she stepped forward, towards the figure. It was the embodiment of all her deepest fears and doubts, the part of her that she had been trying to keep hidden. The shadow self turned to face her, its eyes glinting with a malevolent light. The platform trembled, and a low hum filled the air, growing louder with each passing second. From the shadows of the void, figures emerged—not shadow creatures, but echoes of themselves, their faces twisted with rage and despair. Jessica saw her own echo, its eyes hollow, its hands dripping with black blood. “You can’t escape yourselves,” the Weaver said, her voice echoing through the void. “Face your shadows, or they will consume you.” The echoes lunged, and the battle began anew. Jessica fought her own shadow, its movements mirroring hers but faster, crueler. Kade’s echo wa
