Humming as I thought about it, then I spoke softly, “I feel the coolness of the shadows against my hot skin, but it’s not a horrible contrast; it’s inviting, almost like a perfect balance. Like we’re a team and not enemies.” “That’s perfect, little bro. Now invite them to you, open yourself to the shadows and allow them to open up to you too.” The images were clear in my head; I could see the shadows opening clearly, allowing me to see and feel the warmth they hide within themselves. Where some think evil and danger lurked within them, I knew it was different. The shadows were safe; they protect us, allow us to breathe, and they heal us. “Remind yourself that there is always that opening, ev

REBIRTH OF THE STORMWOLF

REBIRTH OF THE STORMWOLF

KAREN’S POV The shadows shouldn’t have failed. I kept replaying that thought as I stood by the window, fingers digging into the sill until the wood cracked beneath my nails. Below me, the courtyard shimmered with moonlight, silver dust coating the stones like frost. My shadows—my loyal, obedient creations—had never failed before. They were supposed to be silent, invisible, efficient. But this time, they came back in pieces, ripped apart by a force I didn’t even understand.

Lost & found: A Sister Reclaimed

Deep in the shadows beneath Geneva's polished surface, where the city's careful facade gave way to concrete and steel and the particular darkness that only exists in places no one is supposed to see The Syndicate's careful containment plan began to crack.

Rejected Luna: He wants me back

Rejected Luna: He wants me back

She reminds me, the concern for our safety clear in her eyes. “I will. I’ll let you know the details once you return.” “Sounds like a plan,” she smiles and pecks my lips. —------------------ An hour later, we are walking into Shadow Den. The place is also called the Underworld for supernatural creatures. Not only werewolves but different types of creatures are found here. The ones who did not get a place in the world stay here. It's a breeding den for every sort of illegal and criminal activity. The place is shrouded in secrecy, a labyrinth of narrow alleyways and dimly lit buildings. The air is thick with the stench of tobacco decay and a promise of danger. Anyone who’s not entered this are

Also, I love the characters in this book! I’m sad that story the main characters is finished but then we get to revisit them in the sequel. It made me laugh and cry but luckily laughed a lot! Even the FL’s wolf is great! I love it when the wolves also communicate to them and have quite the character

I love this book. The author did an amazing job with the MLs redemption arc. I've read waaaaay too many books where the ML was horrendous and only wanted th FL back because of whatever improvements to her life/appearance made her "worthy." This lead is different. He actually improves himself.

My Secret Admirer

My Secret Admirer

and I never found out what they are called or what species it is. But don't think today is the perfect time to do this. Should I go and say sorry to him? I don't feel good at all, thinking that he is so angry with me now.. I smiled at the thought of how much this affects me. The backyard was dark and cold. The only light was the one coming from behind me from the open doors. I was just staring at my shadow that was forming in front of me. There is something very mesmerising about shadows. They are dark, have no features and are hollow but that's what makes them more scary. They are like hollow chests hiding a number of secrets.

Shadows of Solitude

Shadows of Solitude

The morning light filtered weakly through the curtains, casting fractured patterns on the floor — much like my thoughts, splintered and jagged. I sat at the small kitchen table, clutching my cup of cold coffee, staring at the leather-bound book *Reflections of the Forgotten* open before me. The stories inside weren’t just tales — they were warnings, lessons written in sorrow and hope. Women who had lived as shadows, trapped in lives borrowed from others, fighting to reclaim their own reflections.

Shadows Of The Past

I demanded " And, don't you dare take my shape or you will pay for that." "Like I said you can't do anything to me or my kind. We are shadows. We are like air. Anyone or any power can pass through us and the only person who can hurt us is our mistress or the person who belongs from our shadow family." the shadow informs. "And, who is your mistress?"I asked. "Her," the shadow pointed at Minerva and got down down on his knee in front of her " She is our Queen. The Mistress to the Shadows."

Frequently Asked Questions

I picked up 'Underneath the Shadows' expecting a standard thriller, but the way it handles secrets is far more psychological. The central mystery isn't just a buried event; it's woven into the protagonist's own unreliable perception. You spend half the book questioning whether the 'secret' is an external threat or a manifestation of guilt. The big reveal about the childhood fire isn't dumped on you—it leaks out in distorted memories and offhand comments from secondary characters who clearly know more than they let on.

What stuck with me was the mechanism: the secrets aren't inert. Each one the protagonist uncovers actively reshapes their understanding of every prior relationship. Finding out their mentor knew the truth all along reframes every piece of advice as manipulation, not guidance. It makes the reading experience itself feel like digging in unstable ground.
