Mason never bought her anything when she was hurt. He just told her to take pills and stop complaining. Grace felt tears in her eyes. "Thank you." Aiden helped her position the heating pad on her back. His hands were careful. Gentle. "Better?" he asked. "Yes. Much better." He stood to leave. "Aiden?" "Yeah?"

Just hoping that my mate doesn't reject me first. Creating a space that exudes comfort and relaxation is truly a rewarding experience. It brings a sense of peace and tranquility that is difficult to find elsewhere. Additionally, having a safe haven to ride out my heat is a relief. My tense body relaxed in his grip and I let him comfort me. When Dex pulled away, I was feeling light-hearted. They are my comfort zone. They really are.

After taking the medicine, Amora lay back down on the bed. “This is a warm compress. The pharmacist said it could help ease the discomfort in your stomach,” Regis explained, holding up the compress. “Thank you,” Amora said shyly, feeling a little awkward with how attentive Regis was being. She hadn’t expected him to think of something so detailed for her. “Just place it here,” Regis said, asking for her permission to put the warm compress on her stomach. “How does it feel? Any better?” Regis asked, checking if the pharmacist’s advice was working.

Comfortable. Until it wasn’t.

She was being treated with care and compassion, a far cry from the harsh reality she had been accustomed to. When Florence stepped out of the bath, she felt a sense of peace wash over her. The warmth of the water, combined with the soothing aroma of the bath products, had helped to ease her tension and anxiety. She felt lighter, more at ease. As it wrapped around them I felt their tension ease their rigid emotions like the comfort of a warm blanket in front of a fireplace on a cold winter night. For a minute I thought that this moment of reprieve from their sorrow might awaken hope in them, but just as soon as the comforting emotions I shared with them dissipated the same troubling emotions returned as if nothing else ever existed. “I don’t want to hurt you, just know that,” I said to them and whispered, “I’m sorry”.

His touch felt… calming. “Brax?” “Hmmm?” He asked. “Can you hold me? Just… Just as friends?” I asked him. “Uh... Yeah, sure. Are you…sure?” He asked me back. “Yeah, I am.” I said back. Brax moved from Mona’s bed over to mine. We both got comfortable under my covers. He extended his arm so that I could lay my head on his chest, and I snuggled right into him. It felt like we fit together perfectly. His body began to glow lava red. He began to radiate heat again. He felt like a blanket of calming comfort. Before I knew it, I was fast asleep.
