His name is Jacob, the guy who had returned my book to me. He is simply a cool, down to earth guy that I like talking to. We had coffee once when I was done with therapy, I had popped by the nearest coffee shop whilst waiting for Roman and he simply showed up. I don’t hesitate to buy him that Iron man figure even if it’s a little pricey because I find him cool. I began to meander through the aisles, my eyes scanning the lavish merchandise. While I was lost in the array of items, a shopkeeper approached me with a distinct air of superiority. "What are you looking for?" he asked, his tone suggesting skepticism at my presence in such an upscale store. "Just browsing," I replied, trying to keep my composure. At that moment, I couldn't help but think of Aline and people like her. They reminded me of stereotypical comic book villains who meet their demise within a few panels. Their presence, like Aline's, seemed fleeting and unimportant in the larger narrative.

It's going to be so stressful to go back home to get a debit card and come back to the store to pay for the items. "You should be grateful the store is not at a far distance," my subconscious mind said and I sighed. "I am going to pay for it," I suddenly heard a husky voice and I looked up immediately. It was an unfamiliar guy and he actually wanted to pay for what I bought. I wanted to speak up but I shut my lips immediately. He is just going to save my ass. He was tall and dark in color, he looked mature and should be around the same age as Tyler.

**ELENA'S POV** The guy with the creepy smile blocked the exit and stepped closer, bringing with him the smell of cheap cologne and tobacco. I guess I could call him Mr. Creepy Smile. “Curious cats,” the tattooed guy chuckled, rolling his shoulders like he was warming up for another kill. “We know what happens to them.” I'll call him Mr. Gold-Tooth. I let my lips curl as I replied to him. “They tend to take someone with them.”

I usually ran away from the home gym once we were done with yoga and he starts with the weights. Linc just laughs in response as an attendant walks up to us, beaming.
