Conflicted

Conflicted

Someone pissed my mate off last night. I begin to circle the overly confident she-wolf, and she tries to keep her smug expression in its place. But with each circle, her confidence dips, and mine grows. I feel my rebirther powers wanting to escape, but I keep them reigned in. I have no idea what would happen if they weren't being used for changing wolves, but I bet it isn't good. Finally, I let my voice slice through the tense air. "Whatever plan you and your father have made with Kraven will fail. And whatever dream you have of ruling this pack will fail. Just like your attempt at seducing my mate," I whisper the last bit as I let my fingertips brush against her almost healed bruises.

This was a superb book, worth the read! It's so well written that you almost feel your there with them in every moment. Good storyline, characters and action all in 50 chapters, wow! Will look up authors other book.

Just finished the book. Good story plot and HEA (happy ever after). Glad that I chance upon this book as the author’s name was mentioned in the other book I read. Story is well-written and not long which is good unlike the other books that has 200 chapters. Highly recommended.

Puck, Passion, and Broken Promises

Puck, Passion, and Broken Promises

"I'm sure you weren't. I'm sure you never expected to see us again. I'm sure you thought you'd gotten away with it. I'm sure you thought you'd never be caught. I'm sure you thought the past would stay buried. I'm sure you thought the truth would never surface. I'm sure you thought you were safe. I'm sure you thought you had won." We sit. Ethan places the file on the desk. The file with the evidence. The file with the truth. The file with the proof. The file with the answers. The file with the confession. The file with the lies exposed. The file with the crimes documented. The file with the years of pain laid bare. "Recognize this?" he asks. Dr. Harrison looks at it. His hands shake. His eyes

Love: A Matter of Conscience

Love: A Matter of Conscience

I pressed. He stepped closer. "Nobody is perfect. Lila was just physical. You're the one I love. I'd choose you every time." Nausea hit me like a wave. I couldn't believe he could brush off cheating so lightly. He used to say mental or physical infidelity was betrayal. Now it was just scratching an itch. He had no sense of shame. That man who put me above his life was no more. "You saved my life, so I'll forgive what you did," I said.

A Decade of Lies

A Decade of Lies

I cackled, tears rolling down my cheeks. "Rudolf! You're lying to me! You keep on lying to me! How long do you plan to keep lying to me?!" My hysteria left Rudolf stunned, his breath caught, frozen in place. He opened his mouth, but there were no words. It was as if he sensed something yet lacked the courage to confront it, choosing instead to feign ignorance. "Rudolf! Sean fainted! Come over and take a look right now!" Vivian suddenly screamed.

Alpha's Regret: Chasing My Rejected Mate

"Or do you need a helping hand?" I carefully unwrapped the brown paper. Inside was a USB drive and a single piece of paper with one word written on it: *Confess.*

Sensual Confinement

Sensual Confinement

“I can assume it’s the same for you, Tyrith.” What did that have to do with anything? I nodded. It was one of things ruts and heat had in common. The sexual desire grew to the point where its victim would lose their minds. If one was not careful, they would do the most shameful acts with the worst people. Back in college, one of the omegas in my lecture went into heat and slept with a professor. They were both ashamed of their actions. We could see it on their faces. Eventually, the professor resigned and moved elsewhere. The omega transferred. Heat and rut never cared who their victims slept with as long as they slept with the nearest affected person. We had to deal with the repercussions a

-"Why? What did you want?" -"I thought you've left" David explained. -"I would never leave without you, you silly!" I reassured him giving him a toothy smile. -"I'm sorry. I got scared" David said ashamed. -"Scared? Of what?" I asked. -"Of you betraying us" David confessed lowering his head in shame. -"I would never betray you or any other member of my pack. You know that. Don't you?" I reassured him.

The Alpha's Surrogate Bride

The Alpha's Surrogate Bride

I revealed everything—the secret conversations with Stanley, the allure of power, and the dangerous dance on the brink of treachery—every word a wrenching confession of my misplaced goals. Rose listened with unblinking eyes, and I told her about the plans that had pushed me to the verge of betrayal as well as my acts. The tension in my chest was matched by the amount of her comprehension. The discharge of emotions that had been festering in the dark for so long was therapeutic. Rose's reactions changed as I spoke, going from worry to comprehension, from shock to a serious recognition of the nuance that surrounded our decisions. The atmosphere in the room changed to one of confessionality as

Let Me Go, Ex Husband!

Let Me Go, Ex Husband!

“We know, Dave. We know everything. Stop lying to yourself. Stop lying to us.” “We’ve got witnesses, evidence, alibis—everything points to you,” the tall one said. “You think you can keep denying it? This is your chance to make things right. Tell us the truth.” “I’m innocent,” I said through gritted teeth. “You’ve just made things a lot easier for us,” the tall one said. “We’ll be back.” As they left the room, I collapsed onto the table, sobbing. I’d cracked. I’d confessed. And now, there was no turning back.

Conscious Conscience

Conscious Conscience

His expression was hardened, but the light in his eyes was strong. "Well, I am confident enough that I could hold out even for a few minutes…" he replied. "That doesn't sound very assuring…" I said. "It doesn't need to be, just do your job and everything will surely work out fine. Whether that means our death or not." Despite his condescending nature, there is no doubt that he has a strong conviction to what he believes in. "I guess, I'll just decide what to do when the time comes…" * * *
