REIGN I gazed at Cora as she struggled to come up with an answer to my question. I found myself mesmerized by the way her long and velvety lashes moved up and down while she blinked. Her brows were thick but shaped like the crescent moon. Her eyes were like pools of deep enchanting hazel, reflecting warmth and mystery. I poured her a glass of water. I didn’t recognize her at first. Not immediately. The features were familiar, but rearranged—smoothed into something deliberate, expensive. I was amazed but not surprised because I knew very well that there are other people in this world who could manipulate water and have many other abilities like I have mine. The corridor looked grand. There were doors all along the corridor. At one end there was a big wooded door. I went towards it in hoping to find someone around. I knocked on the door. A shrill voice came " Come in ". I recognised the voice, it was of the same women I had met yesterday. I quickly composed myself and put on the expressionless mask like I usually do in front of strangers. The door opened with a creak. The same middle-aged woman was sitting on a chair. In front of her piles of papers were kept.

She instructed her best friend and rushed to the bathroom. "What's this?" Tasha found something on her desk. she picked up the booklet and turned the pages, "A new novel?" she exclaimed. "Wait!" Arielle shouted from the bathroom, she had the habit to write it down instead of typing her stories, she used her gift to write 2-3 chapters of her new novel last night before going to bed. She rushed out with the toothbrush still on her hand. "Give that to me." "Nope. You're writing a new novel? A romance novel at that?" Tasha ran around the room reading the notes.
