The magic within
Names whispered from the cracks, voices of the long-dead monks whose bones lined the tombs.
One by one, the corpses began to stir.
The first monk clawed free of his sarcophagus, jaw unhinging in a scream that gurgled with shadow. Another followed, then another — skeletal remains fleshed by black tendrils writhing through their bones like veins.
The guild reeled. Half lifted blades, half staggered back in horror.
“They’re already inside!” someone shouted.
Killian rose, shadows flaring from his hands. His power lashed across the nearest corpse, slicing it in two — but the halves crawled forward still, dragging themselves toward Daryl.
