Draven steps to me, careful. “The crown,” he says. “Can you take it off.” I touch it. It burns. “I don’t know.” “Try,” he says. “For me.” I pull. Pain rips through my skull, and the crown comes away, blood on the tines. It crumbles to ash in my hand. The ferals gasp, some falling, some crying, as if a string got cut.

Steven mocked as he eyed a Thogg whose face had been battered and whose body was now covered in bruises. "Yes boss" Ace replied "What's his offense?" "I caught him stealing these" Ace threw some bags of crack on the floor "The fuck, man. You're stealing my drugs?" Steven asked taking slow steps towards him "I'm really sorry, Boss. I really never meant to" "But you already did, so don't give me that flimsy excuse. Fucking save it for the marines"

David greeted and Steven smirked. "Hey, you too! Took you long enough." Steven spoke out loud, unbeknownst to him, and his mother and David's, Alice, and the Doctor jumped back. All eyes are on Steven as he converses with a being they couldn't see. Steven looked happy as they watched him. His mother was crying, everyone was crying. They all wondered if he was running mad. "That was a nice joke you played on me, what were you thinking about writing me a sad letter like that." Steven watched as a sad line crossed David's face. He didn't like that. "What's wrong?" Steven asked reaching his hand up to have them rest in David's hair.

Every swing she made was heavier and faster than the previous ones. She just did not like the way they resolved the revolt of the villagers. Killing them, even the weak ones, was just so low and unacceptable. Plus, the problem was not in the villagers themselves but it was rooted in the corrupt ministers who thought of nothing but themselves and fulfilled their greed while those who shed sweat every day were starving.

He glanced at Vanessa again and then something like a light bulb went up in his head and he found himself smiling at his friend. “It’s not funny, Sean,” Steven growled. “I know, I know,” he said and tapped him on the shoulder, “calm down brother, she would be fine and let me handle Natasha for you.” While walking away, he added, “who would have thought you would find her tonight of all night and in my pack,” he chuckled. Steven frowned at what he said and he was prepared to refute but he found himself turning and walking back to the girl. He squatted beside her once more and held her bleeding hand. “Why aren’t you healing?”

It didn't add up. And then there was what he wrote—stuff about seizing what you want, about taking the first step. "Rea?" Steve's voice broke through my thoughts. "Did something just click?" A cold wave washed over me as I met his gaze. "Do you think it could be Wayne?" Steve stared at me, clearly shocked. "What makes you think it's him?" Then, a flicker of recognition crossed his face, like he'd had the same thought. I told him about what I found in Wayne's journal. Steve's expression grew darker, and he was quiet for a long moment.

Asher reminded him about the chat with an evil grin. Steven shivered, and a panicked expression crossed his face "Oopsie, Bye guys. I'm evaporating from this world until Boss is feeling less vindictive! You all agreed to cover for me, Now is the time. Thank you in advance. Love you!!" Steven got up and ran to the door. And just like that, he was gone. Walter cleared his throat, turning everyone's attention toward him. "Boss, Is this all we need to know for tonight?"
