Cowboy X Novels & Stories

Something made the cowboy stand up straight, his expression instantly changing from frustrated to charming as he stepped forward to take the card from my hand which he then clasped with his fingers, bowing gracefully, his hat over his heart. “Pleased to meet you, Dr. McKenna,” he slowly rose, a charming smile softening his features. “I’m sorry I didn’t recognize you before. The name’s Houston Huxley. Tex if you will,” the tipped his hat before placing it firmly on his head. “And you’re just the girl I’ve been looking for.” Thinking this was some kind of pickup line, I took a step back and scoffed. “Really? You and I have never met. Why would you be looking for me?”

Xoan was behaving like the bigger person, not looking to stir up trouble, especially since he did not want to mess with Alexander's plans. However, they were overthinking it. The young man flashed a smug grin. "Heh, glad you're okay, but my cow's dead. You owe me for that." People like him were the worst, keeping quiet when his cow went berserk and hurt people, but crying for cash the moment it dropped dead. Oddly enough, those who got hurt by the mad cow did not even complain. That guy had to be someone with clout to be so brazen. "Just tell me how much you want," said Alexander, eager to get that over with.

Looking at it, Xavia pursed her lips before muttering, “…Sorry for what I’m about to do to you…” A few minutes later, the cow suddenly began mooing like crazy before crashing straight into the earthen walls! Thanks to how weak they were, they collapsed easily, but all the ruckus was enough to wake the old man up! Panicking when he saw the cow in that state, he was just about to calm it down when he felt a sharp pain against the back of his head. Xavia had been hiding behind the door this entire time, and from the looks of it, she had successfully knocked him out!

Before bowing to the ground, the entire crowd split in two, forming a pass way. I looked up and saw Xander gallop forward on his white Royal horse. His face looked deadly with no single smile. "Who dared to hurt her?" His scary voice rumbled like thunder. He got down from the horse and climbed to the elevated floor. "Are you here to save her?" Greg asked with a deep frown. "Is that a question for me?" He scoffed and turned to me. "Can't you pull that off your neck and step down?" He asked with a raised brow.
