I climbed into my car brought to the front of the building by my side and sped off. As the traffic light ahead changed from red to green, I stepped on the brake but the car refused to stop. Trembling with fear, I continued to step down on the faulty brake. A loud horn blared as a truck bore down on me. Blinded by its lights, I swerved the wheel to the right. The car took off, suspended in the air for a moment before crashing. The force of the momentum pushed me to hit my chest against the steering wheel.

Slowly, I backed away, only to bump into something. A glass toppled over, crashing to the ground. The sharp sound shattered the silence, announcing my unwanted presence. Oh, I’m so screwed.

I am getting nauseous. You won’t die if we crashed but I will. I want to yell at her but my voice dies in my throat when a black Range Rover approaching from the opposite side abruptly takes a sharp turn into our lane. I yelp, closing my eyes and before I know…the car crashes into something, knocking my breath out of me.

Heavy.

My confusion spikes into unease. “What’s going on? What is this about?” I ask, my voice tightening as instinct kicks in. I roll up the window quickly and start the car, my hands trembling slightly as I try to pull away. Then, something splatters across the windshield. Eggs. Another one hits. Then paint. My breath catches. In my panic, I slam the gear into reverse… And crash. The impact jolts through me as the car behind me takes the hit. Before I can correct it, I hit it again.

He did not know what I was about to do. I faced the screen and typed something random. Failed. I typed another random code fast. Failed. I typed one more random code. This time, the screen did not say ‘failed.’ It said Crashed. A little crash icon popped up on the display. The whole crowd started talking over each other. The majority of the people in the hall were upset by their words, but I have achieved what I wanted. I have crashed the system and nothing Collins could do. “What are you going to do now? The system has crashed. Since you say it belongs to you, bring it back to life," I said.
