There have been, after all, summoners who’ve woken up one day to find that their demons refuse to answer to their call. When Ariadne’s turn came, it was almost as though she needed no coaching. Quiv had barely given her an instruction when the crystal burst a bloody red and spat out enough smoke to fill the circle before her two times over. The aged instructor smiled at it, and when the smoke dispelled, it revealed a demon that looked like a six legged dog with two eyes, a milky fur and the size of the Vesimae that began the summoning lessons. “Ah,” Quiv grinned. “A Canifrae. Rain opened the huge mahogany doors with all her strength and in stepped my grandmother, Cecelia Von Speltsper. Lady Cecelia, or grapy, as I liked to call my grandmother, was the woman who found me. She said she had been out riding when a ray of light fell from the sky and there I was. I don’t know if that story was true or if it was made up to cover my origin as a hybrid, but she was the one who discovered I had the mark of a phoenix on my back and that I was to be the next Demon King. Lady Cecelia was King at the time and none of her five sons and two daughters had the mark.

“Selfish, Chuckles.” “I haven't fed in weeks,” Chuckles snarled. With the coloring of Harlequin- vicious black and red- he leapt onto the ceiling. Lines of red eyes snapped open on his brow. Planted above me, he lunged downwards, claws extended. I shrieked. Samael's tail sealed shut before the demon snatched me up. I heard the hiss of burning flesh. “Your infernal blood,” Chuckles cursed. There was an acid sizzling. He sucked at the air. Bile rose in my throat as the tail pressed against me, muscles rippling, smooth and warm. I was trapped in the darkness, in a filthy snake.

Frowning, I watch as he stalks onto the sand, reaches down and grabs two handfuls before coming back to stand in front of the table. "Here's an analogy for how much Demon blood you have..." he says. I breathe out loosely. This should be interesting. “Imagine this is a full blooded Demon. Only one such creature exists like that now, who is actually alive, and not cursed unground somewhere." He dumps an entire handful of sand onto the table, a few granules skittering across the surface toward me. I swallow uncomfortably, hating the sound of someone all powerful like that. "Wait-"

Taking my shirt off partially, I jabbed my nails into the top of my spine, pulling out my sword, Slayer Rhakis and summoned the portal to edge of The Demon Realm. Stepping inside, my senses were clear, smelling the first wave of demons a few miles away into hell. I waited patiently, pacing back and fourth and focusing my ears on Hunnie and Kris as I leaned against the cold and icy, black flesh of a pillar. The Realm's bridge was as wide and long as a football field and made up of squirming flesh. All around the bridge was pitch black, the only light coming from the glowing floor of flesh under my feet and the demons portal from Hell.

I was dragged along. "Aah!" My hands tried to grab anything I could use for a grip. And my dagger fell just a reach from my fingertips. "You don't need to tremble, young lady," the demon whispered in a hissing voice. She no longer pulled my body into the hole. Now, she crawled out of the hole and climbed on my back. Her tongue kept sticking out, trying to lick my neck and face. I kept screaming and struggling. "You are so disgusting! Whoa!" The smell is really disgusting.

And as some dark mist gathered around the place where they stood, a creepy demon appeared in the mist. "Meow! What! What the heck is this!" The demon with a creepy look was about the height of an adult. Xiao Chen narrowed his eyes and he could feel the lifelessness inside of it, it might have been created by a devil. However, how could a devil survive in such a clean and bright place?

How could a spirit be tortured? Rose groaned as she rolled over onto her back, smoke seeming to rise from her singed body. The demon just cackled as he watched them, the noise sounding like boulders grating against each other. His body was a deep red, almost as if it had been dipped in blood. His eyes were almost as dark as his body, with no whites to be seen, almost as if they flowed from his body straight to the pupils. He had pointy ears and two small horns in the middle of his slick scalp. His teeth were just as yellowed as Baltabek's, and his fingers and toes were scrawny claws that resembled small talons from a twisted bird. Sybil felt a little sick at the idea of being happy at killing something so innocent. “Are you sure you know what this is?” She nodded. Clearly the demonic had a serious issue going on at the moment. This war being fought, it was with truly evil creatures. “A demon, and the only kind of spider demon I can think of that meets what I feel and see is the Jorogumo. There was something about the grey creatures that sent Ruslan into a frenzy of revulsion. He fought like a demon himself. He punched and kicked furiously.
