It was a creature straight out of a nightmare—a demon, its horns curling like blackened tree roots and its eyes glowing with hellfire. “You’ve got to be kidding me,” Fatima said, staring up at the beast. The demon roared, its voice shaking the ground. “You dare trespass in my domain?”

she hissed, backing away toward the door. The thing didn't answer with words, Its body began to convulse, its bones snapping and popping with a sickening wet sound. The pristine robes tore as the creature’s frame expanded, its skin turning into a patchy grey color. Right in front of her eyes, the image of Zoran melted away, replaced by the hunched, purple-eyed abomination from the woods. It let out a low, hissing growl, its spine protruding in jagged ridges. It lunged forward, its bladed claws reaching out to grab her throat.
