Helena was one to make the most dogged plans, that was one trait that had made the company the powerhouse it was today, and he knew this time she was up to no good. He exhaled, clearly over it. "Pour me a glass" --- The problem with being Jason Creed was that nothing easily fazed him anymore. Women threw themselves at him wherever he went. Business rivals crumbled when they heard the name ‘Creed’ The world said yes to everything he wanted, and the few things he said no to, his lawyers made happen in a second. So when his grandmother's agent, Kai, texted him a photo of the new bodyguard the next morning, Jason nearly choked on his coffee.

“There won’t be an attack.” Creed’s brows furrowed, and for the first time, I saw genuine surprise flash across his face. “What?” he asked, his voice dripping into a cautious whisper. “You’re calling it off?” I nodded, rising from my chair and walking over to the window. The sun was higher now, casting long shadows over the dense forest that surrounded our territory. “Too many pieces are moving, Creed,” I said, my voice quiet but firm. “This attack has drawn attention. More than I anticipated.”

Creed continued, "Besides, now that those assholes from Phoenix Gods are here too, I can't wait to have some fun of my own…!" Agenor tried to talk him out of this again, but Maira grabbed Agenor's shoulder. "Creed!" Maira stared at him and asked, "Are you… by any chance… angry?" Creed's eyebrows twitch violently, a huge malevolent grin plastered on his face. His arm twitched for a second. His eyes turned shady. Maira felt a sharp sting in her chest when she noticed the split second shift in his expressions. "Eh! Why do you ask?" Creed asked with a smile,

I take a step forward, unsure what I intend to do, Creed stands his ground though his eyes doesn't leave his damn shoes. "Fucking answer me, man. Did you hear me tell you to let her through?" I holler, the sound travels across the empty space towards the towering house. Which I know is currently empty. "No. I am sorry, sir. She sounded convincing." Creed looks up and I am slightly taken aback by the fact that I am just seeing his eyes. They are a shade of startling green that do not match the rest of his hard features. It almost makes him look like a kid fresh out of college. Maybe I am wrong about his age afterall.

Dex stops mid-sentence when I raise my head and I watch a muscle tick in his jaw as he grinds out his words, "What did he do?" "Nothing. " I sniff, wiping my tears and he shakes his head. "He did something. Tell me what the fuck he did, Ara and I swear, he's going to fucking pay for it. " "He didn't do anything, Dex. " "Bullshit. You were running and you have tears in your eyes. Do I look like a fool, Arabella?" When I don't give him a response, he begins to move forward, and he's only a step away from me when I reach out to him, grabbing his arm and stopping him from moving any further. "Dex, please. "

I'm just grateful I finally get to talk to you. This guy has been fucking up his own brain—and mine—the entire time you've been unconscious."

I don’t even have time to grieve, because something else appears on the screen and I frown when I see an adult Creed running through the forest. He’s a complete copy of Kai now - blonde hair, blue eyes, large as fuck build, and a menacing aura. But he’s naked as he sprints through the forest, old scars and tattoos covering his chest and arms. He comes to a stop abruptly and falls to his knees sobbing. “No…I refuse to believe this,” he murmurs, shaking his head and emitting a growl filled to the brim with pain. “You can’t be dying!”

"Gallagher is the one you should fear, Fitzgerald. Who knows, maybe he's planning to kill you?" Creed violently grabbed Vander by the collar, his eyes blazing with fury. I, however, was frozen, too stunned by what was happening. "Why, Cervantes? We know the truth, don't we?" Vander said, but I didn't understand any of it. I saw Creed pull out his gun again and point it at Vander. "Choose, you fucking son of a bitch." I could feel Creed's intense anger as he spoke. "You'll shut up, or I'll blow your brains out."

She struggles, but it’s no use—Creed’s hold is unbreakable. “I’m going to see what you’re hiding,” Creed growls, his voice full of raw power. “You’ve got one last chance to tell the truth before I take it from you.” I watch as Seraphine’s body goes rigid, her eyes rolling back as Creed delves into her mind. She lets out a strangled cry, her entire body shaking as Creed’s claws sink even deeper. He’s ruthless, relentless, tearing through her defenses like they’re nothing more than paper.
