I couldn’t see anyone, but it didn’t stop me from feeling strange. I leaned against the back porch railing, eyes scanning the edge of the yard where the trees started. It was quiet. Too quiet. And I’d felt it again last night—that weird, crawling sensation like someone was watching us. “You ever get that feeling,” I said, not looking back, “like someone’s out there? "Let that go first because I heard a story earlier that every midnight there is a knock on the door when you open it you will die.." she said frightened. "Hahahaha!! Honey, that's just a story, maybe you were just scared later.. I'll just peek after we go to sleep!" He said, let's go together and head for the door.

Someone else chirped in and I wondered how they were going to handle the situation. “Y'all really need to get a restraining order on her. Our next door neighbor had a freak just like this last season and suddenly she started stalking him too. Eventually she killed him when he wouldn't agree to her advances.” One of Claudia's minions stated and everyone gasped while Adrian heaved a deep sigh. They're stupid, I know. I understand the pain brother. “Firstly, everyone of you recording had better stop it the fuck now.” He ordered and there were slight murmurs as they began putting down their phones one after the other.

“I’m not suspecting you Blaine and I never tell the higher ups about your connection to the two so just take the day off for now and think hard. Maybe Phantom Night is one of your acquiantances because it’s not a mere coincidence” Jake ended the call after that and Blaine have no choice but to take the day off. If someone really shouted my name next door, I would have heard it even without recording it. I had to find out who was there. Even if Zach did come back from the dead, I would kill him all over again. I grabbed my crutch and, despite the stabbing pain in my leg, inched toward the door. The corridor outside was dark and narrow, crammed with the neighbors’ junk. It smelled of mold and rotting leftovers. I pressed my ear to the door while holding my breath, straining to catch any sound from the apartment across the hall. There was only silence. It was too quiet.

Early on the third day, my neighbor pounded on my door in a panic. “I heard something happened to your roommate! The whole family’s been hit hard!” I rushed to the residential complex where Raines lived. A large crowd had gathered at the entrance.
