Criminal Minds Agent Reid Novels & Stories

"You know my heart. I wouldn't squash a bug. It's Irene, deranged, scheming to eliminate me and monopolize you. Her antics tonight prove it; you witnessed her madness!" Her shrieks reverberated, yet sympathy had evaporated. Onlookers now regarded her with revulsion and caution. The footage was ironclad, reducing her performance to farce. Chris eyed her with pure revulsion. "Still trying to flip the script? Wesley slumbered alone then. Who else could infiltrate like that? In the whole complex, only you have those feathers. The janitor and residents will attest. And your nail fragment matches the tire scene impeccably."

These were ghosts from the Maddox family’s more shadowed corners, men whose histories were scrubbed and rewritten with Maddox money. Reid, stocky with an eternal five o'clock shadow and a stare that could freeze a bullet mid-air, was bent over his laptop. He’d been on camera duty all night, scanning public footage, digging into anything with a digital trace. His tattoos curled up his neck and under his ear like smoke.

“Well, well. If it isn’t Bennett Cross.” I froze. “No. Fucking. Way.” Marcus Reid stepped out from behind the black pickup, swinging a bat loosely at his side, his gait too casual like he was strolling into a Sunday barbecue. The same Marcus Reid I had stabbed with a silver knife and handed to the cops on a platter.. The same bastard who should’ve been rotting in a cell right now. “Impossible,” I muttered, taking a step forward. “I saw the reports. You were—”

I got so nervous that I even called Lance to watch over him for the night. FEDERAL BUILDING MANHATTAN *** “Well, well, well, look who popped up in her past. I guess this is a family of criminals. Her husband is a bank robber, did ten years of a twenty-five-year stretch, and got paroled early for good behavior of all things.” Agent Smith walked over to his partner’s desk to read over the other man’s shoulder. “Somebody pulled some strings because he’s only been released within the last week or so.” “He’s only been out for a few days. Can we really release her to him?” Agent Malone kept reading the report he’d been flagged in when he typed in the suspect’s name.

Noah POV Heavy steel handcuffs clicked shut around Victor Blackwood’s wrists. Two FBI tactical agents hauled the commissioner off the concrete floor, forcing his arms behind his tailored suit coat. His dark tie hung crooked, his face pale, his blue eyes hollow as he stared at the floorboards. “Victor Blackwood,” Agent Carter’s voice echoed down the corridor as she stepped through the fire escape doors. “You are under arrest for federal extortion, wire fraud, attempted murder, and conspiracy.”

Yet nothing came out, just water and acid. He took out the water bottle with a pouch and placed it over her table. Something that would cheer her up. She seemed to like flasks. He just hopes that she’s strong enough to handle it. The drug he gave would make her a little numb if ever she saw her mate. She handled it well. “Wolfless.” He mumbled as he went back to his seat. Fabian knocked and entered as he approached him and sat on the chair across from him. “Reid, this is about the investigation that you’ve asked.” He said and handed him the documents. Fabian was from the Protection and Asset Security Team, besides working with Marketing, they are also cooperating well.

I exhale. The rich, sick sensation clears after a few more moments. I open my eyes, and nothing around me has changed. Concrete, fence, weeds, wall. It’s mostly quiet out here. My cigarette has burned itself down to halfway. The fuckers put accelerants in these. The memory of a man’s voice blasts into my head, loud and clear and all at once. The fuckers. I don’t remember who that was, or when. Something manic in his voice: too much fury, too much bite. A homeless guy tweaking on meth. A drunk man raging at the walls. I think I’ve seen these things, before.

I drew out a breath. “You're one of the best agents on my team, and I know you dedicate a lot to the job.” “Thanks, Boss,” I replied gratefully, not expecting him to be so understanding. “I'm not gonna try convincing you to take on this serial murder case. It's obvious that your heart isn't in it, and when I put my agents on something, I need them to put one-hundred percent into it.” I stared back at him, wondering where he was going with this.

Reid, because there was no mistaking him now, stepped closer. “So,” Reid said quietly, “you drugged her, erased footage, tampered with evidence, and helped destroy my family.” Adrian sobbed. “She promised me protection. Money. She said you’d never look back.” Reid crouched down until they were face to face. “You took four years from my son,” he said softly. “You made his mother suffer alone.” Adrian shook violently. “I’m sorry..” Reid stood abruptly. James straightened too, already pulling out his phone.

“Fill in the gaps. Make it all neat and tidy. Send Viktor to prison and walk away clean.” “You won’t walk away clean,” Damien said honestly. “You’re complicit. You’ve been facilitating this operation for years. You’ll face consequences. But cooperating is your best chance at survival.” “Survival,” Dr. Reid repeated. “You think I care about survival? Look at me. I’m already dead. I’ve been dead for three years. Ever since I started working for Viktor.” He poured another glass of whiskey. His hands were shaking so badly half of it spilled on the desk.
