“Yeah. It was just a dream.” James closed his eyes.
“You were screaming bloody murder and your back was arched all crazy.”
“Don’t worry about it,” James said, trying to diffuse his roommate’s seriousness. “I usually have the dream about once a week. Sorry to wake you.”
Tres took a seat on the edge of the twin-size bed. “What’s it about?”
James nodded at the single poster that graced his side of the room. When Tres looked up at it, he said, “Try to imagine falling through that. Except you’re like, thousands of feet up and the dream always ends in your death.”
