Novel & Cerita Cursed Gifts

The Doris in the photograph wore the same gentle smile, probably calling me an idiot. As I turned away, my hand brushed against an old wooden box on the table. Inside was something Stella had arranged to send me before her death, paying a guard a small fortune to get it delivered. It was a pair of bloodstained, gold-rimmed glasses and a note written in bold, flowing handwriting. [Mark, may you live forever in this rotten world.] I pulled out a lighter and set the paper on fire. I watched as the words curled into ash, then tossed the burned note and the broken glasses into the trash can beside me.

"David's hospital bills must be piling up, and you still went to such trouble! I feel bad accepting this." My polite refusal made her visibly anxious. She grabbed my hand firmly, her voice rising slightly. "Carrie! What are you saying? I'm his aunt. What's wrong with buying something for Nicholas?" At that moment, my husband, James Hamlin, abruptly joined the conversation, "Carrie, don't overthink it. It's a gift from Jess. Just take it." "Since your brother said so," I said, pretending to relent, "Thanks." As I accepted the bottle, I noticed a fleeting glance exchanged between Jess and my husband.

I nod, sit, and then head to the bathroom. The Moon Goddess wants me to trust them and myself, but my gift is a curse and I know they’ll all be terrified of me if I ever have to use it. The Kiss of Death is a curse- It literally takes the breath away of whomever I use it on.

Suddenly, from the corner of the room, their mother’s voice rose in a broken wail. “Carla! Don’t take one of my children. It’s just me… It’s just me. Don’t make them suffer!” The plea cut through the air like a knife, raw and pleading. Their mother’s eyes were wide with terror, her bound hands twisting against the ropes as she rocked back and forth. The name “Carla” hung in the room like a summoned ghost, a tangible thread linking the present torment to the sins of the past. Eloise and Elena exchanged a glance heavy with shared dread—the curse was stirring again, drawing closer, its tendrils reaching for what little they had left.

"Well couldn't that be called a gift?; he uttered furrowing his brows. His dad gazed up at the young teenager it seems he want to accept all that before knowing all about it "no matter how to take it, it is still a curse"; he murmured gazing down at his palm like it was his fault for giving birth to a cursed, but that wasn't what he was thinking, how would he guide his son to the right path and not letting him succumb the other way?. The reason why that woman disguised herself was to steal the ability from him so she could bring chaos easily upon the world, that was the time to prepare for that by teaching Kazuma the way of the sword.

"They are extinct. Why am I just hearing about it?" "Our parents know about it" "Wait, if you talk to him- her, whatever gender they are. Why haven't you spoken to them?" "Must you be stupid all the time David. Obviously he did but the gift didn't come with a handbook or something. He only used it as a child- he only used it once. And they never responded to him ever since. So yes, David don't be stupid ", he curses again and honestly I am exhausted having this conversation. I dread conversations like this. Her molten silver and crimson eyes met each of them, carrying centuries of rage, grief, and inevitability. And then — she stabbed herself. The blade slid through her chest with a quiet finality, her body collapsing into the whirlwind she had summoned. The wind howled louder, as if mourning her, carrying the remnants of her magic across the world. When it settled, silence fell. The alphas stared, horrified. She was gone. Dead. Yet the curse had been cast, the children marked. For a long moment, no one moved. Then the alphas understood. The curse had not been meant to kill the children — it was meant to bind them. To twist fate itself. To ensure that if they ever found each other, everything t

"For the day when you would finally understand." I felt a knot tighten in my chest. "Understand what?" She filled her lungs with air and let her gaze dart towards Randall before fixing on mine: "The power inside you is not only your wolf's bloodline, but it intermingles with something so much, much older. A curse—yes—but also a gift. One that only you'll be able to solve.". I shook my head, merely in total disbelief at her insinuations. "A curse? A blessing? I don't.I don't know what you are talking about."

" She held up her wrist, showcasing a sparkling green bracelet. Then, she smirked, pointing at the simple bracelet on my wrist. "Do you really think Ethan bought that especially for you? It's just a freebie that came with mine. You're only fit for my hand-me-downs!" I glanced down at my bracelet.
