“Civilised is boring,” Corvin said cheerfully. “I’d rather amuse the enemy. Or at least myself.”
Edric rolled his eyes. “If amusing yourself involves making us all look like fools, I’ll consider it a minor war crime.”
“War crime? Really, Edric. Must you always ruin the fun with technicalities?” Corvin tossed his hair back, the sunlight catching just enough gel to glint like a jewel. “I’m an artist, darling. If my art is lethal, it is simply a happy accident.”
