—ALPHA HAWTHORNE’S POV— She reclined on the bed, draped in a pink, translucent nightwear that left little to the imagination, its design highlighting her flawless figure and accentuating her curves. Gently patting the spot beside her on the bed, she bestowed a smile upon me, her actions accompanied by the delicate scent of a rose I had tossed her way. Her deep, captivating black eyes seemed to beckon me, coaxing me to draw nearer, and I obliged, stepping forward with cautious yet purposeful strides.

I feel someone’s gaze piercing the back of my skull but when I turn around, I don’t find anyone watching. “I insist.” Sylas says “Thanks for your generosity, but you really don’t have to.” He frowns a little and drops the money in his pocket and looks at me, really looks at me. “What’s your name?” “Dahlia, Dahlia Hollands.” He doesn’t offer his name, he just nods once. I give the room one last sweep before turning towards the door. Disappointment is bitter on my tongue. I didn’t find Aidan. Maybe he doesn’t like parties.

The dress is lacy with long sleeves, scoop neck, studded with crystals till the waist, and flows down the floor from the waist. A long train is trailing behind the dress and it is so beautiful, Thea couldn't move her eyes away from it. "You like this one?" Darius approached from behind and looked at the dress she liked "Isn't it pretty?" She asked with aww. "You are the prettiest thing I can see here" he teased Thea. She blushed a pretty shade of pink. Darius groaned " that blush" he muttered. "I wish I could have my way with you now" he whispered hoarsely.

I saw Lucas staring at me, awed as for the first time, I smiled, a genuine smile after reading the note with a flower scribbled at the end of the note that maybe was a dahlia by the shape of it. That girl was definitely not elegant but her name was as beautiful as her.

They simply stared. Dahlia hadn't been an elusive socialite hidden away in some European villa. She had worked here. For five long years, she had walked these exact carpeted corridors. She had ridden these elevators. She had sat in the grueling, multi-hour creative strategy meetings, with everyone here. Everyone on this floor knew Dahlia Miller. Yesterday… They discovered she’d been Mrs. Hawthorne the entire time. I walked past the open-plan marketing department. Nobody was looking at their monitors. Dozens of pairs of eyes locked onto me, wide with sheer disbelief.

Dahlia smiled sadly with tears rolling down her cheeks as she turned to Audrey, “Were you the one she hopefully waited for only to die heartbroken thinking her son was going to jail?”

He smiled and extended his hand out for me to take. I look at it in a split second of hesitance then I thought, why not? We’re here already, and I know it’s going to be a wonderful surprise. I take his hand and he pulls me around the flower beds filled with moonflowers and tulips. We pass by more flowers of different kinds such as roses in all shades and colors, before we stopped at a single flower. It took me only a second to realize it was the flower my parents named after me. “Dahlia.”

he asks, not looking up from my hand as he applies the salve. “Every few days,” I ramble, “there are new flowers on the table in the hall between our rooms. I’ve recognized most of them, but I’ve never before seen the ones that are out there today. They’re magnificent, and I was wondering if you happen to know what they’re called.” He still won’t look at me as he says, “Dahlias.” “Dahlias,” I repeat. “Thank you. I think they may be my new favorite flower.”

When it comes down to thinking about Love, people get confused. I am taking the dance shoes you bought once from me. I am taking a few more things with me which will remain with me forever. In return I have nothing to give you except some painful memories from my end. But I grew a small bunch of Daffodils down there at the side of the lawn these days. Take care of them as they were my favourite. You know Daffodil means rebirth or hope. They struggle through the winter to come in Spring in order to decorate our nature with its colour of happiness.

Sofia had specifically chosen the dark Dahlia, Stephanie had wanted to elaborate on its meaning but she was once again cut off with a slap. Everyone walking into the venue had a ds grunting feeling. Black dahlia is a cute demon flower with a sweet smell. However, it defines dishonestly and betrayal. It was certainly not the best choice for a wedding flower. Chase was the first to walk down the aisle. He had no time for shopping hence he had settled for a casual black tux. Since it was sundown and under the influence of dark Dahlia, the arena appeared darker than it should have. Sofia soon walked down all dressed to impress.
