Damien paced restlessly around his room angry and frustrated. He had a bad temper which was almost impossible to subdue whenever triggered because of his wolf nature, apparently and also because he was Alpha. The rage, lust and anger that came with it was sometimes uncontrollable. That rage was taking its toll now on Damien with the thought of his parents’ murders constantly. He kept walking around from left to right and back around his room critically thinking of how to capture the Rogues’ Alpha.

He tells me. “I'm so sorry Damian, I know what that feels like.” I tell him. “Yeah, I think that's what drew me to you that day because we shared the same type of pain. I look around Zane just in time to see one of his pack members lurching toward us. Holy fuck… Damian. The guy whose ass I kicked during my first sparring match with the males. His hands are human, but with claws, the same way mine looks when I’m fighting a shift, but the skin is sickly pale, like that of a corpse, and every blue vein is visible.

Damian realized he'd gripped too hard. He let go fast. The pain hit sharp through my whole wrist. I looked down at the bruise already spreading across my skin, deep purple forming fast. The dirty work of the Coronelli family had always been Damian's specialty: tracking down debtors, clearing out traitors, the kind of work that built strength and paid well. Damian stood in front of the doctor and stretched out his hand, “Doctor, take mine, as much as you want, as long as you save my grandmother.” “Which blood type are you?” “B positive.” “I am afraid you won’t be of help. Your grandmother has a very rare blood type, and we currently don’t have any in the hospital blood bank. We need someone who can donate blood ASAP.” “I will call my dad and tell him to come to the hospital and see if he is a match.” Although Damian stopped calling Ben his father when he was just a little boy, now was not the time to care about relationships.
