“That was quick.” I sighed, grateful for the distraction. “Because there wasn’t any real training,” I muttered. Kai smirked. “She’s impatient.” Damien let out a soft chuckle. “That doesn’t surprise me.” He turned his focus back to me. “If you’re free now, you should come with me. I want to show you something.” I frowned. “Show me what?” “My workshop.” My frown deepened. “Your workshop?” Kai was the one who answered. “Damien isn’t just an intellectual lycan—he’s a genius. He’s the one who designs most of the warcraft and weapons used in Blackwood and beyond.”

Damien said. His voice had a slight accent, deep and cold. He waved a small device in his hand. "What do you want? " I shot back, squinting at him. I was ready to kill him right then right now. "Getting straight to it, Valentina Moretti. M" Damien chuckled, saying my name like it disgusted him. "What I want is to bring you down, as cliché as that may sound. I want to take you both out," he continued.

He answered. “Okay. He is probably in his late twenties or early thirties, he was heavily built, he has blue orbs and dirty blond hair. Recognize anyone with those features??” I asked. “Hmmm yeah. Matthew, only difference is that Matthew has brown orbs instead.” Damian answered. “I know who Matthew is and that clearly wasn’t him. I almost forgot. He has a black mole on his left cheek.” I said. Damian froze when I mentioned the mole. “What did you just say??” He asked as he suddenly became very serious.

Elena hadn't seen his intent stare yet; she was enjoying the softness of the new bed, humming with her eyes closed. Damien stepped up to the edge of the bed, looking at her body laid out before him. He could smell her excitement starting to waft up to his nostrils. He lowered his head and extended his tongue, cupping her heel and running it up the length of her foot. He reveled in the taste of her sweat, her special flavor that covered every inch of her body. He could feel every line and crease in the sole of her foot as his tongue traveled up to her toes. He slithered the tip between her toes and nibbled on the end of her big toe.

The heavy door at the back of the room opened with a soft, rubbery *swoosh* of weather-stripping. Damien Blackwood walked in alone. He didn't carry a briefcase, nor did he bring a team of standard defense associates. He wore a dark, form-fitting knit sweater that emphasized the broad line of his shoulders—the same shoulders Elias had dug his fingernails into while the generator hummed beneath them. Between his thumb and forefinger, Damien held a single black data stick, its silver casing catching the sharp glare of the window blinds as he moved toward the right side of the aisle.

Me: (sent him all the pictures and videos of me on his clothes). Damien: I need sunglasses! You are glowing too much, my eyes might hurt. Me: You like them? Damien: Babe😍 you are hot🔥. **** Damien, a young man with jet-black hair and bright blue eyes, sat at his desk and thought about what one of his friends had said. “Are you still happy to date a lot of women without getting married to any of them? Come on. You're already 27th. You should find your mate, someone to join you as an Alpha!” “Shit! Why do I still hear those words in my head!” Damien cried out. His office space felt tight and stifling. The air trapped inside it was no longer a breath of fresh air for his tired mind and soul. Damien was so desperate for peace that he left the office momentarily to get some fresh air outside.

My brain understood that Shane hadn’t offended me, but my body didn’t. The moment I was in, I made sure the coast was clear before going into Damien’s study. Of course, it was locked but I started picking locks at twelve, so it was easy to get in. I went through the pile of documents on his table, careful not to touch anything or shift anything from where they were placed. Nothing resembled a letter. Just work documents. I eyed his safe at the end of the room and went to it. What could be his password? Damien was cold but he was sentimental on the inside so the first combination I tried was Marcus’ birthday and it clicked open immediately.
