I didn't know what I was expecting but when Dominic opened the laptop and showed me a mug shot, my eyes widened. He looked to be in his late twenties, sporting a dark buzz cut and a neatly trimmed beard. He had a black eyebrow piercing and I could see the tattoos sneaking up his neck stopping just below his jawline. Lucas was smirking with his head tilted up slightly, almost mockingly and that alone told me the man feared no one. "Holy shit, he's fine." I blurted without thinking. The laptop was slammed closed and I jumped. Yurik let out a loud laugh and shook his head.

“Now why the fuck would you yap about that? Shouldn’t you be keeping the informant’s identity private? You fucking mutt ruining shit.” “Ah…” Damian’s eyes glinted, “Were you supposed to be the instigator plus the knight in shining armor? Is that it?” He laughed. “You’re a funny one, brother. I’ve always admired your lunacy.”

“You’ve been carrying your own pain in silence since your sire. Talk to us.” Damien stared at the opposite wall for a long moment, crimson eyes distant. The elegant, cold vampire rarely showed vulnerability. But after watching Kael shatter and Serena burn her mother-figure twice, something inside him cracked. “I wasn’t always like this,” he said quietly. Damien’s Story “I was turned in 1897. London. I was twenty-four, the youngest son of a powerful aristocratic family. My father wanted me to join the military. My mother wanted me in politics. I wanted neither. I wanted freedom.”

Not football.” Lia smiled. “I tried.” “Right,” Damien chuckled. “And it’s Bruno Mars, by the way.” “You didn’t strike me as the type,” Lia said, smiling wider. "What can i say? I am full of surprises" Soon, Damien pulled off the road and parked. Lia blinked at the sight.

Damien “Jesus Christ, Damien, you’re disgusting,” I muttered, but I didn’t put them back. Instead I sat down heavy on the bed again and brought the fabric up to my face. I took a long sniff, deep and slow, and his smell hit me like a punch. Sweat and that faint soap he used and something warmer, more him. My dick twitched in my jeans just from that. Pathetic. I laughed at myself, short and mean. “Look at you. Got slapped, called Satan, and now you’re sniffing his dirty undies like some creep in a movie. Real winner.”

They snuggled down into the cushions and curled up together. She found a TV station that had some inane action movie with the perpetual surfer dude Keanu Reeves in it. She didn't think he was bad looking, but the minute he opened his mouth, he sounded like a pothead and a moron. Damien was completely fascinated and repulsed by the whole thing. Every time some fantastic explosion or stunt would happen he would look up at her. "It's all Hollywood make believe, dear. It's not real."

She pulled in front of the office building and all of them walked inside. He entered the meeting room and everyone was already waiting for him there. "Damian... Making people wait is a very bad thing, you know..." The man who was sitting on the chair in front him said sarcastically. Damian clenched his jaw and glared at him. "I wanted you to wait, Xavier..." Damian replied arrogantly. Damian sat in front of him like a king making Xavier grit his teeth. Xavier was damian's rival, sometimes they sort out their problems by doing agreements and sometimes by fighting. They both were well aware of each other's power. Xavier is a mafia boss too.
