The Okulus #1: Aero Manzinilla, the Mentalist Warrior

The Okulus #1: Aero Manzinilla, the Mentalist Warrior

Nysa Jyn
Aero Manzinilla died in an airplane crash together with his family when he was twenty years old. It wasn’t that bad, afterall. Dahil kahit sa kahuli-hulihang hininga ay buo pa rin naman sila at magkakasamang nadeadball. Eight years later (in human world) isa na siya sa mga kaluluwang malapit nang maging anghel. He was Michael, the Warrior Archangel’s, most beloved student. Lahat kasi ng mga ipinapagawa nito ay ginagawa niya. He mastered all the trainings of being a true warrior of God. Kaunting-kaunti nalang talaga ay makukuha na niya ang minimithing tungkulin. But one wrong move made him lose that chance. He was stripped off of his right to become a soul soldier, was thrown back to Earth and was under the surveillance of the high Angels. All because of a suicidal depressed girl with a dream to become a fish – the poet and painter, Maeve Carcel. What a beautiful nuisance, indeed!

MY DRAGON KING, MY ALPHA KING

MY DRAGON KING, MY ALPHA KING

**Warning: Mature scenes ahead.***A woman with military training and outstanding credentials, Rayna Chase was the very definition of a badass chick. She was on the top of her career and the top of her game until she was assigned to babysit and guard an enigmatic CEO in the form of Axel Windstorm. It wouldn't have been a problem—certainly a piece of cake really—if not for the sudden unexplained visions she soon received; visions of a growling creature speaking unintelligible words, of golden diamond eyes and starry, windy skies. Yes, it wouldn't have been a problem too if she wasn't suddenly stalked by an alpha predator with midnight black fur, sharp claws and deadly fangs. And with a scent that teased her nose and muddled her brain. 'All is fair in love and war,' John Lyly, a famous poet said. Unfortunately, for Rayna, she couldn't agree, especially when love and war meant two opposing ancient creatures as powerful and mysterious as the sun and moon. All Rights Reserved J.M. JMFELIC really knows how to bring a storyline and characters to life. She will not disappoint with this latest book. Hope everyone is ready for "Attracting Fange and Gangs". It's a thrill ride right from the start, with so much left to uncover, April cannot arrive soon enough.

It said “The End”! Is it actually the end of the story or are there going to be more chapters? Is there a second book? An update from the author on how this is going to continue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

Petal Plucker: The Flower Shop Sisters

Petal Plucker: The Flower Shop Sisters

"“Funny, charming, and utterly captivating! I devoured this sparkling read.” - New York Times bestselling author Annika Martin The man I hate might be the first one to pluck my petals… Confession: I, Dandelion “Dani” Wright, am twenty-six years old and have yet to be deflowered. No man has hosed my hyacinth. Fondled my freesia. Diddled my daffodil. You get the point. My excuse? I was too busy running my family’s flower shop and winning floral design competitions. Suddenly that whole pesky virginity thing becomes a big deal when Jacob West walks back into my life. The boy I once loved. The same boy who humiliated me when he stood me up for prom. This Jacob is no boy, though: he’s all man now—confident, charming, and so sexy my metaphorical blossoms are getting scorched. I can almost forget I’m supposed to hate him forever. Almost. To make things worse, he’s my main competition now, since he took over his parents’ flower shop. If I give into this sizzling attraction between us, it could jeopardize everything I’ve worked so hard to achieve. But if I’m not careful, he might not just be the first man to pluck my petals—he might also be the only man to capture my heart."

letters that staved

letters that staved

In the coastal quiet of Baler, a studio is born—not of architecture, but of intention.* Founded by Yam, a poet whose words cradle pain gently, and Franc, an artist who paints tenderness into walls, the studio becomes a refuge for those learning to stay—with grief, love, longing, and themselves. As visitors arrive, they leave behind more than footprints: a sigh recorded in bamboo, a poem tucked into the “Found Letters” shelf, a mural painted in crooked lines. Through zines, tea, silence, and sketchbooks, the studio teaches softness as revolution. Ren creates the *Window of Soft Returns*, an installation of anonymous voice recordings—each whisper forming a community of echoes. Drew builds the *Staircase With No Wrong Turns*, inviting people to walk through emotions without shame. Franc offers brushstrokes as brave work, and Yam curates writing circles that map healing in half sentences. Together, they host festivals that feel like hugs, and they begin traveling their archive, letting softness cross oceans. Even those who once left—like Miguel—return, discovering that some doors never truly close. Others, like Tala, capture the studio’s sound and turn it into a podcast of breath and becoming. Over seventy chapters, the studio transforms into something larger than itself: a mural of memory, a sanctuary for second chances, a place where return is sacred and voice is proof of survival. In the final bloom, the studio stands not as a monument—but as a reminder: > *“Staying isn’t easy. > But chosen together, > it becomes home.”*

An English Writer

An English Writer

San Lin Tun
The novel is mainly about the forgotten British poet/writer named C. J Richards who lived in Burma/Myanmar in colonial times and he believed himself as a Burmophile. He served as I.C.S (Indian Civil Servant) and when he retired from I.C.S service, he was a D.C (District Commissioner) and he left for England a year before Burma gained its independence in 1948. He came to Burma in 1920 to work in civil service after passing the hardest I.C.S examination. He wrote several books on Burma and contributed many monthly articles to Guardian Magazine published in Burma from 1953 to 1974 or 1975. Though he wrote several books which had much literary merit to both communities, Britain and Burma (Myanmar), people failed to recognize him. The story has two parts: one part is set in the contemporary Yangon (then called Rangoon) in 2016 context and a young literary enthusiast named “Lin” found out unexpectedly the forgotten writer’s poetry book and there is surely a good deal of time gap that led him into a quest to know more about the author’s life. The setting is quite different comparing to colonial Burma and independence Myanmar (Burma), early twentieth century and 2016 which is a transitional period in Myanmar. The writer’s life is fictionalized in the novel and most of the facts are taken from his personal stories and other reference books. It is a kind of historical novel with a twist and it has comparatively constructed the two different periods in Myanmar history to convince readers, locally and abroad more about history, authorship, humanity, colonialism, and transitional development in Myanmar today.

Wellness Influencer Stole My Life I’ll Destroy Theirs

Wellness Influencer Stole My Life I’ll Destroy Theirs

My adoptive parents' long-lost daughter came back. She's a wellness influencer. She eats from crystal bowls she "cleansed." Sleeps with a white noise machine. She will only ride in a custom, climate-controlled car. That's not all. She filled our family's Manhattan law firm with Himalayan salt lamps and energy crystals. The espresso in the conference room? Replaced with gluten-free, organic dandelion root tea. "The energy here is so murky," she'd say. "We need to cleanse the world with love and light!" My guilt-ridden parents gave her everything she wanted. Even my fiancé told me, "Ava, you stole twenty years of her Upper East Side life. Can't you cut her some slack?" The day of the final hearing for our firm's biggest case, the entire court had to wait for her to finish her "emotional cleansing meditation." The judge was furious. I stood up. Delivered a flawless closing argument. I won our client $500 million and secured the future of the firm. But at the party, she had a drunken breakdown, fell into the pool, and drowned. My parents and my fiancé blamed me for everything. "You always have to win, don't you? It was a simple, open-and-shut case. You couldn't even let her have that?" They had me committed to a psychiatric hospital. They destroyed my law license and my reputation. They even had me injected with a fatal overdose of sedatives. I died full of hate. The next time I opened my eyes, I was back. Back to the day she was crying on her Instagram Live, begging for the case. This time, I walked straight into our rival's law firm. This "sure-win" case? I'm going to make you lose everything.
