I spun around to find Damien leaning against the wall, arms crossed, his shadowed eyes catching the moonlight. He looked like he already knew what had happened. “She almost drowned,” I admitted, voice raw. “Something called her from the water. Something dangerous.” His jaw tightened. “A siren’s pull.” The words made my stomach drop. “You know about it?” “Enough to know it’s nearly impossible to fight,” he said quietly. “If she’s caught in it, she’s not safe here. None of us are, if the sirens are circling.”I hated the truth in his voice. I hated that he was right.

She then looked at Damian with a bit of fear now. "I've made that clear to you many times. There is no new concubine. Selena will not be like you, Sarah, Hera, Yna, Cassy and Rose. She's just a prisoner. She'll be out of this house soon. Is that clear to you? Leave me alone for the time being!" Damian moved his hand to Merry's jaw and pulled him close, it made Merry quite nervous now. As brave as she was to Damian, if Damian was in a bad mood and she confronted him like this, it was obvious what would happen.

Serena's Pov Damien was dangerous. That much, I knew. But what I wasn’t prepared for was how my body reacted to him. It was really infuriating. Quickly, as I noticed that my anger was about to melt and turn into adoration, I shook my head and looked ahead. I should try to fight my desire for her. I should not let her get to me no matter what. The Dangerous Dame is a highly selfish person who only cares about things that will favour her. ~ As I got off the car, all dressed up in a way I would call seductive, my eyes landed on the huge dome building which was holistically lighted in a way that could blind a person.
