Daniel After Lea left my room, I sat on my bed feeling conflicted. I never imagined that Lea would turn out like that. In the two years we were together, Lea was sweet and gentle with me. The Lea I saw today was a stranger to me. “I warned you before, Daniel. I told you Lea was not that simple. She wasn’t being real with you before. The woman is a gold digger. And she proved me right with her behaviour today. Didn't you see how she reacted when you told her you could leave everything behind and go live a peaceful life with her? All she wants is your money and position, nothing else.” Cole was blunt and that hurt.

"Well, you certainly nailed it with these, Daniel. How did you know they're my favorite?" He shrugged playfully. "I have my ways of knowing things, Jess. It's a secret power of mine." I rolled my eyes, a playful banter forming between us. "Oh really? So, what else can you tell me about yourself, all-knowing Daniel?" He smirked, leaning back on his elbows. "Well, besides being a master of snacks, I also happen to be an expert sandcastle builder. Prepare to be amazed." I raised an eyebrow, feigning skepticism. "I'll believe it when I see it, Mr. Sandcastle Expert."

Cayden glared at Daniel once more as Daniel was still laughing at him and then he turned to me and said, “Yes.” “But it’s not very exciting.” He added with an aggressive tone, returning his attention back to the thick mud that was glued to his skin. “What’s up with you, General?” Andrea asked Cayden, finding his behavior funny. But then it was Daniel who answered. Daniel laughed again and then he pointed at Cayden, still chortling. “With his streak of awesomeness down the Rift, your handsome General landed directly into a pooping hole.” Daniel said, chortling even harder now.

He had stumbled upon this information by chance. It made me wonder why he would take an interest in these matters, given that most people were cautious when discussing Daniel's personality, especially in front of his employees. Daniel was known for not going easy on anyone. However, as I thought about it, I realized that his actions were likely motivated by a sense of compassion and a desire to help. Alternatively, he might have been seeking some form of entertainment in his otherwise solitary and dull life. It was evident that he was making an effort to bring about a change, whether for altruistic reasons or personal ones.

Selena’s POV Daniel The temperature in the room keeps dropping and I’m trying hard not to chatter. I’m freezing and I know fully well I shouldn’t. But I’m not one of their mafia girls. Right now, I even want to give Daniel a serious beating. There’s something about him, his face looks oddly familiar. I’m trying hard to match where I last saw him in my head and nothing seems to come to my mind but I am beyond sure that somewhere somehow I have seen this face before now. This feeling was beyond just a coincidence.

“No thanks. But I can get one for you if you need it.” Daniel grinned, his eyes glinting with something I couldn’t quite place. “Sure. Get me something cold. As cold as Audrey.” My blood boiled at his words. I turned to him sharply, narrowing my eyes. “What’s that supposed to mean, Daniel?” He laughed, holding up his hands as if to calm me down. “Relax, Xander. I didn’t mean anything by it. I’m just saying, Audrey can be a little… cold, don’t you think? Not as hot as someone like Lola, for example.”
