Danmachi Lyra Novels & Stories

With that, she activates her shield power, creating a protective barrier to shield us from whatever lies behind the door. As we open the door, a distressing sight greets us. Damon is bound tightly with unyielding metal, his body covered in his own blood. Despite his wounds, they seem to be healing, but a man standing beside him shows no mercy, relentlessly lashing him. Lyca's eyes well up with tears as she witnesses Damon's suffering. Unable to bear it any longer, Lyca rushes towards Damon, shielding him from another lash. "Stop! Please, stop!" she pleads, her voice filled with desperation and anguish.

The stranger scoffed and then he released his aura. It was suffocating and immediately made me want to kneel and submit but it was obviously not directed at me which showed how powerful it was. Damien's eyes widened. “L..ly…ly..ly” he kept stuttering while shivering in fear, unable to piece together a single word. My brows furrowed as I looked at the stranger in confusion. For the normally cool and collected Damien to be this flustered, who was this man? “Lycan Kieran.” Damien finally spat out and then he immediately fell to his knees not forgetting to drag Fiona too.

Lyra stumbled back as something broke through right in front of her. A hand shot up— Then another— Then a head— Faceless. Empty. Wrong. Her breath caught. It turned toward her. Not searching. Not confused. Focused. On her. “Lyra!” Damon’s voice cut through everything. But the creature moved first. It lunged. And this time— Lyra reacted. Not with fear. Not with hesitation. With instinct. Her hand shot forward— And the power came with it. Sharp. Controlled— For once.

So I simply stood beside him while he was doing weird things like wagging his tail and stomping his feet. What is he doing? Levitra is getting closer! Why is he dancing now? Is that kind of ritual Do Lycans have secret abilities or powers like shooting beams after doing a dance step like that? But I don't think such a trick is a thing. Levitra and my brothers attacked us. Since I was about to immediately block their spears with my bare hands, I didn't even have time to think about Winston.

Everyone turned to look at each other. My heart was still pounding as I watched with anticipation as I wondered what would happen next. I wanted to tell Jacob to run away. He and his men because I knew how fierce Alpha Damien was in battle. He had never lost a fight before but before I could speak, Alpha Damien grabbed Liza, my best friend.

I caught a glimpse of one of the wolves shifting into a human as well out of the corner of my eye. Lara's eyes caught mine as she smirked triumphantly and lifted her perfect brows. Not now, bitch. I smiled sweetly at her which made her frown while my hand was pulling out the shard of glass on my thigh. As soon as I pulled out the fragment of glass, I gripped it, my palms bleeding. I spoke weakly, "I still win" and pressed the glass on my neck.

“Pick one. I don’t care which one. Marry her and stabilize the realm before I lose what’s left of my mind.” Damian’s eyes opened. They were bright silver, which all Lycan’s possessed. The look on his eyes would have made a lesser wolf slit their own throat. “You think I don’t want a mate?” His voice came out quiet. The dangerous kind of quiet that Lucas had learned years ago to take seriously. “You think I am choosing this?” Lucas said nothing.

Blake grumbled, “Well, I think—" “I’m okay, Mom,” Lydia lied. Blake nodded. “Yeah, she’s fine,” she agreed. “Just know that I’m here for you, okay?” Luna Alice assured her. “Yes, Mom, I remember that.” They walked over to the Lunas, who welcomed them warmly and began to chat. Lydia flinched nervously as the conversation turned to her finding a worthy and powerful mate tonight, just like her mom found Alpha Damon. Blake noticed her discomfort and excused them to get some drinks.

Their mate is in danger! Adam sensed it too. He didn't feel hurt on his chest like her mates did, but he knew something was off with her. Like the Lycans, he stopped in the middle of their fight. His hand were on Largo's neck ready to slice it with his sharp, long nails, meanwhile Largo's teeth were sunk into his arms and ready to bite it off of his body. And Draco was about to to break his neck. They remained in their position for a couple of seconds, but their eyes were set on Lilly who laid weakly in Oscar's arms. Her hands fell down off her body and she looked so pale compared to the last minutes they saw her.

“I don’t even know if she ever could. But I have to try.” Damon studied me for a moment before shaking his head. “Well, good luck with that.” He stood, stretching his arms. “Look, I’m not saying it’s impossible, but you screwed up—badly. Lyra isn’t the weak, frightened Omega you first met. If anything, she’s stronger now, and she has every reason to hate you.” Hate. The word burned through me like acid.
