He stood up, stepping into my personal space. He smelled like mint and something metallic. "How did you really get out, Leo?" I asked. My voice was shaking, and I hated it. I tried to look away, but he reached out and tilted my chin up. He smiled. It wasn't a friendly smile. It was the smile of someone who had just won a bet they shouldn't have been allowed to place.

He left him there and walked over to the refreshment table to grab them both two glasses of chilled goodness. They both could use a drink right now. When he returned Danny was less shy and now gazing at his lover, who sat beside him and offered him a glass. Danny barely took a sip before pushing the drink aside, his eyes still lingered on his lover. "Why are you looking at me like that?" His voice was husky. Deciding to have a little fun, Danny scooted over the grass until their bodies were pressed together.

Ignoring the wolf whistles from behind her, Zoe concentrated on keeping the large tray of drinks precariously balancing on her arm upright. Distributing the foamy glasses between the scruffy men around the table, she narrowed her eyes toward Danny, his hand poised to slap her behind. “Don’t even think about it.” “Come on,” he laughed, thick Boston accent brash against the clamor. “It’s the only action I get all night.” “That’s pitiful,” Zoe grimaced, sliding his pint in front of him.

It was a good thing they'd gotten all kinds of other food in the house. My typical choices weren't appealing. At all. In fact, the idea of eating a banana made me gag. I jumped onto the bar, crossing my legs and balancing on the edge with an almost unnatural ease. My newfound balance was vampire-level perfect, and it seemed to fascinate and disturb Dane. I only nodded in response, unable to breath a word. "Beta Daniel let's go into my office and talk further." He insisted and left me all alone in the room for a few seconds before the friendly doctor came bustling in with a smile on her face and plate of food in her hands. My stomach grumbled loudly at the sight of food. I hadn't realised I was absolutely starving. "Luna, I hope you are satisfied with this selection of sandwiches. You need your energy." I wasn't sure how I felt about being called Luna but I guess it was something that I was going to get used to eventually.

I turned to my left to see Dante, another of my best friends and close business partners, sitting on the couch with a smile. "His little bride collapsed before he even started," Dante revealed. "But that has never stopped Lucien before. He is a mad psycho." Maddox said as he jumped down from the window. "Exactly so tell me why Lucien just took her back to the bedroom after." Dante laughed again and my jaw tightened. What a blabbermouth! Maddox froze in his steps, before turning around to face me, his mouth opening wide. "You really did that? But I thought you don't c.." Maddox was about to say when Dante interrupted.
