Danny heard a series of explosions from the hotel lobby. His eyelids fluttered. He frowned anxiously. Soon, there was dead silence upstairs. Danny hesitated for a long time before finally making up his mind. He slowly walked upstairs. By the time he reached the thirteenth floor, he was out of breath. However, he stopped breathing altogether when he saw the scene in the corridor. The corpses on the ground were all bleeding profusely, and they included the Shadow Guards' corpses.

Walker-That shit is not gonna walk. Luke- yeah. It can crawl. I got stuck at some point, thinking what he meant by it'll crawl when I saw the typo. I had typed walk instead of work. I dove sideways as bullets sparked off the concrete where I'd been standing. "The thing is, Rhys," Danny called down, "I've learned a few things since you kicked me out of your organization. Viktor teaches his people to be thorough." I blinked away the spots in my vision and saw Danny on the metal walkway twenty feet above, his gun trained on me. His remaining man was climbing down a ladder to flank me. "See, I knew you'd come here," Danny continued. "This place means something to you. So I made sure to bring the right kind of motivation."

My cover as Dawn was still intact, and honestly, I was a little proud of myself. Every morning I’d leave the mansion dressed in my little office disguise — the wig, glasses, and dull-colored skirts that made me blend perfectly with the corporate walls of Walker Enterprises. He scoffed and I felt the tip of his dagger right on my chest, he acted like a panther I didn't even notice his move and I had to let go of him. I let go of him, reluctantly, because I was too fucking aware of how dangerous of a man is Danny. He always stays in the shadow, fucker says he doesn’t like the limelight but he was the actual shit amongst all of us. He was the mind of our pack. She watched as Jake took out a photo from his bag and passed it to her. Her brows furrowed immediately. It was a picture of a guy, he looked like he was in his early twenties. He looked way too familiar but she couldn’t remember where she had seen him before. “Who’s he?” She questioned. “It’s unfortunate you don’t recognize him.” Kira clicked her tongue. “He’s Danny.” Rebecca’s jaw dropped. “Danny? Oh my God! Where is he now? Did anything happen to him?” Kira smirked. “Not yet.”

Getting out of the room, she was met by a huge gathering of the pack members. She stared forward to see why everyone gathered. It’s probably one of those impromptu meetings. The Alpha, Damien, walked down majestically from the stairs, his composure was grandly towering, as if he wasn’t the one that nearly strangled her minutes ago. He had some Beta wolves, who served as guards behind him. He glared around the room, as he suspiciously scrutinised everyone.

He even made an imploring expression at Rey to be involved in Jaxon and the others’ escapades. However, receiving a head shake from his best buddy, Gavin, instantly felt his heart shatter somewhat. “Our friendship ends here,” he hissed, which earned him a smack in the back of the head from Connor. “Dramatic,” Rey and Jaxon mumbled at the same time. After Gavin left, Danny was about to go to the door when Jaxon asked his friend to stay in the room. “Can you just stay in Denver?” Danny looked over his shoulder at Jaxon, who clutched the pink-haired woman’s photograph. Seeing this, Danny realized that his friend was considering the possibilities that may occur after they left for Chicago.

He smirked. "Oh hell yes." The female giggled. He glanced at me and winked. "Maybe some other time gorgeous." He said and walked away with the female, their hands wrapped around each other's waist. I sat, frozen on my seat. Danny? Pay him? That Danny looked exactly like Levi. My Levi. My heart started to weep for him, as I stared at their retreating backs. I couldn't fathom what was happening. None of it made sense. Danny? I want to find out more about him. That couldn't be Danny. No. It cannot.
