Tobias went to confirm that Charlie had really died, then he howled to signal that the fight was over. “ Well…that was…anti climatic” Danny mumbled while brush the dirt of his shirt, but I could see him shaking. I gave him a big hug. Danny wiggled, “Oh my goddess! Get off! You said you would come back, but I almost watched you die, idiot!” He shoved me away scowling, suddenly acting like he wasn’t begging me to escape with him a while back. I saw Phoenix tense up from the corner of my eye, I gave him a look. I will not let him attack my brother.

"Move. She's mine." Alex sneered. "She's not your anything and I'd sooner die than let you lock her up like she's some rabid animal." Damien lashed out but Alex was ready. He blocked Damien's blow with a hook and threw a punch at Damien's belly. Having seen Alex 's move many times during training, Damien blocked it in time before Alex 's claws could carve out his intestines. "Please stop it," he heard Ariel say but she sounded far away. So far and even her voice couldn't bring him out of the haze of bloodlust he had entered.

Anna commanded. The shopkeeper stepped forward, the ritual knife gleaming. As the blade sank into Killian’s side, a guttural scream tore from his throat even in his unconscious state. Anna clamped her mouth over his to stifle the sound, her fangs nicking his lip as she began the agonizing process of the Bloodletting.

And just her luck, the first thing they heard was breaking news: “Tonight, to all our shocks,” the reporter announced. “A 23-year-old bounty hunter, Danica Gallant, from Brickland, Umbre, allegedly attempted to assassinate Reign Eclipsis, the crown prince of the Kingdom of Vampires, and severely injured him. I hear Danny scream again, and I would like to tell him he should just take cover and close his eyes until everything is over but I don’t get to make a sound as the second punch hits my face. Hitting the floor as a reaction to his hard blow, I think that I would not see another minute of the day as he lifts his foot, positioning the heavy boot onto my chest. I taste blood in my mouth, my vision is blurring as suddenly a rattling resounds. The mercenary is just about to lift his boot from me to stomp me down as Danny charges towards him. His body surely doesn’t stand a chance against that of a grown man, but he gets him to stumble back, losing his balance, and topple down to the floor.

R with the guard shutting the door and blocking their view through the porthole. Inside Louis took hesitant steps towards Danny, finally able to look him in the eyes, blinking up slowly at him. Danny looked barely alive. His skin was pale, eyes looked exhausted. He was weak. Louis saw the bag of his blood flowing down to mix with Danny's through the tube. Louis's eyes found Danny's desperate ones staring up at him through tired lids, eyelashes fluttering in the struggle to keep them open. He tried extending a hand in Louis's direction but it failed and hit the bedsheet limply, surrendering to exhaustion.

Darren exited the prison cell and ordered the soldiers to continue the whipping work. Darren stood in front of the frowning Vander. "Brother, scratch my right hand." He passed the knife to Vander. Vander glared. He had no heart to scratch the knife into his brother's body. Even though Darren sucks, Darren is his younger brother. "I don't want to." Nancy clicked her tongue. "I'll do it." Noura chuckled. "Don't scrape the vein, Nancy." "I couldn't have killed him." Nancy scraped Darren's palm with a knife. "Half-blood has a different blood." Nancy was surprised to see Darren's black blood color with reddish spots. Nancy put the knife back in Darren's shirt pocket.

I say. "For what she expended." Maret chooses her words carefully. Sets them down like objects she is placing on a surface she isn't sure will hold them. "What she carries, what was revealed tonight, it isn't something we have a reference for. Not in living memory. The Moonblood hasn't manifested fully in generations." She pauses. "She used a significant portion of it in a very short time. The shift. The fight. And then what she did for you." She says that last part without inflection.
