At first uncle was happy to find out that Alex was actually alive and had been living here, but now he is filled with regrets of bringing Alex back into Dannys life. Back in the room, Dany remained asleep until the morning. He seemed to be fading. “I’ll see you again, Jennah.” The buzzing grew louder. Jennah opened her eyes. Her alarm clock was going off. She reached over and slapped a hand on the snooze button and then focused to make sure she was in her room. She blew out a breath and tried to shake the fog from her mind. That explained a few things. The dream was so real, but not at the same time. Too bad, really. That man, Dominic, her mind had invented was quite nice to look at. No more chocolate caramel popcorn for you before bed, she thought as she slowly sat up.

“Are you?” “Yes,” he whispers before he straightens his spine back up to continue eating. Danny as usual is too happy to read the room as he goes on talking but suddenly, he halts, his next words making me look at him wide-eyed. “You know. I had some strange dream while I was in the hospital. I don’t remember much of it… Just a name. Nerthus.” He moves out of his pensive posture, looking at me with a big smile. “What kind of name is even that?”

He looked first at me then to Veda and finally over to Josh, who had already taken a seat in his usual recliner. I looked up at him and choked out without believing it myself. “I don't know. But last night I dreamed that Laylan had met a man named Daemon.” I must have been convincing enough for Mitchell because I could see his eyes calm at my statement. I watched him as he walked around the couch and took a seat in the opposing recliner from Josh. We all talked about my dreams and what they could possibly mean though none of their ideas seemed to be to my liking. I think it was only Raven who could take his brute strength. And, that was saying something considering Danny had gotten stronger in the last couple of years. At his tender age of 24, Danny was already very big, his tanned physique was very muscular. His blonde hair, that used to flop into his eyes, was now brushed back.
