I like that.” --- DANTE’S POV The lounge at Russo’s club smells like cigars and bad decisions. I’m on my third drink, and even that can’t help keep me calm in their infuriating presence. Russo is laughing at something Vito said. Something about a shipment in Naples. Vito blows out a ring of smoke and slaps my shoulder. “You’re too quiet tonight, kid.”

Beta Dillon picked up the poison's antidote and gave it to the alpha. “Alpha,” Beta Dillon called and handed him the antidote. “The antidote.” Drake gets it and looks upon the antidote. He slid it into his pocket and then heaved a sigh. He was panting even though Beta Dillon was gasping for air, with a small cut on the side of his lips. Drake’s eyes were dark and red; he crumpled his fists again as they continued to run as fast as they could until they reached the royal house.

A woman asked, Nikolay’s wife, Anika, asked, shaking her head at Sienna as she raised an eyebrow. “Italy, Rome to be more specific, and you?” Sienna answered, making sure to keep a cold and yet calm tone, letting the woman know that she was not hostile. Anika was known for her dark reputation amongst men, and though Sienna was familiar with most of the Capos or Pakhans, her father knew when not to bring her if the situation was too dangerous for her presence, the one thing that I did respect about the man. “Russia, Moscow.” She said, nodding at me. “I don’t think that Arturo was in a relationship, we would have seen you…”

I shuddered, not liking the attention. Carlisle continued, gesturing toward a man with thick muscles and a face that looked like it had taken one too many hits. “Dante Moretti. He’s old-school mafia, no frills, just violence. His girlfriend, Rosa, is a bit out of place here, but she’s harmless.” I looked at Rosa, whose bright smile and bubbly demeanor seemed completely at odds with the grim faces around her. She seemed out of place, just like me.

Warrior Robbie “You fucking what!” I bellow unable to rein in my anger. I don’t mean to blurt the words out, but Nick gave me the reins of control here, so I’m just going to go with it. “They have my mate.” Alberto huffs out as his body appears to relax. Is he relieved that he told us? My reaction to his words is to call bullshit but something inside of me holds me back. I think Nick was right to want to listen to him before acting because, while I’m not sure if he’s 100% telling me the truth, I’m also not sure that he isn’t.

“I’ll rip your fucking throat out.” Nero’s lips curl into a cold smile. “You’re welcome to try. But you’re forgetting that you were given your title; you didn’t have to bleed for it. I’ll be more than happy to show you just what I did to earn my place as Alpha.” Darius’ men start to shift uneasily, clearly picking up on the escalating tension. But Darius holds up a hand, stopping them from moving. His gaze locks onto mine, his eyes gleaming with hatred.

Spread across the counter were boxes of fries from McDonald's, Wendy's-you name it. "Wow!" I exclaimed, chuckling. "You really went all out, huh?" Dante scratched the back of his head sheepishly, a hint of color creeping onto his cheeks. "Wasn't sure which one you'd like, so I covered all bases." I grinned at his unexpected gesture. "And you act like you're so tough. Mr. Tough Guy, blushing over fries for a girl. Who'd have thought? What will the public say when they learn that their 'Dante Russo' is blushing because he got fries fries for a girl, huh?"

Brandon taunts him. Russell hated thinking of his roommate from last year. No one, not even Brandon knew that it was the same guy he had to face off in one of his last matches from last year. Things didn't end well for either one. Russell had to spend most of his summer recovering from the broken ribs and multiple bruises in his upper body. While the other guy lost partial hearing to his right ear, suffered a concussion, lost three of his teeth, and had to get multiple stitches around his right eyebrow. Needless to say the three broken ribs on the right side of his body from the repeated punches and slams he provoked on his body. All while Brandon indulged the warm sun in Cancun for the summ

he winked then kissed me on the lips softly “ get a room!” Creed groaned, making puking sounds as he returned to the table with two glasses of apple juice. “ geez did you save some of the apple juice for everyone else?” Ryan teased joining us at the table “ This one is for Madam Charlotte.
