All wrong. When I woke up this morning, I noticed it immediately—the dark brown strands had lightened somehow, showing hints of silver at the roots. Not gray from stress, but actual silver, like moonlight woven into hair. It had to be the dye job washing out. But it still freaked me out seeing it. I'd spent the last hour applying the dye Anna had procured for me, desperately trying to cover the strange new color. Dark brown eyes, framed with black perfect lashes and straight white teeth.
