For The Love Of Death

For The Love Of Death

His words made me feel a little sick. "You were around for the world wars weren't you?" He nodded. "That's when I learned German and Russian. Me and several reapers were posted in concentration camps. There was so much death. It actually caused a good number of us to want to be reaped." I looked confused. "I told you we can kill each other but the fates can as well. A good number of our men asked the fates to destroy them after the world wars. They were burnt out and tired of living. None of us blamed them."

My Stepfather Is My Mate

My Stepfather Is My Mate

The air was heavy with the scent of despair, mingling with the acrid stench of liquor and broken dreams. Behind the bar counter, I stood like a specter, a harbinger of sorrow serving liquid poison to lost souls. The dim glow of crimson-hued lights accentuated the hollows beneath my eyes, reflecting the abyss that consumed me. The clinking of glasses echoed like a morbid chorus, each sound a discordant note in the symphony of despair.

The writing is very bad in both story composition & grammar. On plus side The story is unique & has potential

Do not awaken the Undead king

Do not awaken the Undead king

And, one day, I’ll be able to get out of this trap. Oh, no, who am I kidding? Nobody has appeared here so far. Even animals avoid coming to my field. I don’t sense any living being whose energy I could suck dry and use to appease the burning, even a little... They all sense me. They don’t understand, but they sense that death is there under their feet. Oh, Father of the Dark, I’ll be decomposing here forever! Damn Ulfricus, Banshee take your soul into the Twilight and love it to death.

The Luna's Possessive Alpha

I resign to its cruel embrace, to the luridly wrenching arms awaiting me. There was so much to be done. Too much. I can't die this easily, a pitiful prey in the trap of simpletons. I can't, right? My breath shallows in answer. A hollowness rings, absolute and acute. It's a worse demise than I could have predicted. A miserable end to a life I'd once revelled in building from scratch. It can't be, can it? I can't die in this insignificant manner, can I?

My Benefactor

If she did have the journal with her, as what that trusted Alerian historian claimed. Killing the ignition, I got out from my car and slammed the door shut. My spirits somehow dwindled day by day since the revelation. Each day when I wake up, I dread the feeling of wanting to kill the man I love. "The one you love is the one you'll kill," I muttered sarcastically under my breath. Funny that I still managed to conjure dark poetry lines in dire situations such as this, or maybe I had gone to the deep end. Yeah, right. Maybe Derek would haul ass me to the nearest asylum.

The Mate Agreement

The Mate Agreement

The idea of dying... it's like staring into a dark abyss, wondering what lies beyond. Am I ready for it? Is anyone ever truly prepared to let go of everything they know? It's as if life is this intricate tapestry, woven with memories, experiences, and dreams, and death is that final thread that could unravel it all. I've heard people say that death gives life meaning. That the inevitability of our mortality forces us to seize the fleeting moments and savor them. Is that why we laugh, love, and strive to make a mark? To counteract the impending darkness?

Bloodied Ashes

Bloodied Ashes

And I drive the shard home. The shard punches deep—blood fountains. The Heart convulses—a wet, shuddering gasp. And finally— It dies. The air shudders, the stones shake, and the pit wails—not with anger, but with grief. Something ancient and rotted and wrong weeps into the dark, and I know—we killed something it loved. Good. Let it mourn. Let it drown in it. I collapse to my knees beside the ruined corpse, blood pouring from a hundred torn seams in my body, the shard clutched tight against my chest.

The Death of a Passionate Love

The Death of a Passionate Love

“I believe I’ve made myself clear. Perhaps you think that I still love you and would not want you to jump. You might even think that my heart will go out to you. “But Joshua, all the things you’ve done over this period have destroyed the remaining love I have for you. So, I only find it funny that you’d resort to threatening me to be back together with you through suicide. If I don’t love you anymore, why would I care whether you live or die?” Her words were too harsh, and Joshua could not accept it. With an ashen face, he shook his head. “Don’t. Stop talking.” Yet Rain continued, “If you really died today, the most I will feel is a slight regret that I did not manage to stop you. “But unlik

Cancer. Within my mind the word resounded with relentless hollowness. The information remained untold to her by me. How could I? What words do you use when facing your mother to communicate her impending death? An element within my consciousness yearned to accept the possibility that medical professionals had made an error in their diagnosis. The test results might have been confused with others or another reason existed for her health deterioration. The fundamental reality remained evident to my innermost consciousness. The truth emerged as a monstrous entity brandishing claws which shredded the final pieces of hope I desperately clung to.

Exploring the realm of dark poetry opens up a fascinating landscape where emotions run deep and the shadows of the human experience come alive. I'm drawn to a few timeless pieces that truly capture the essence of darkness and despair, and I can't wait to share them with you!

One of the most haunting poems I've read is 'The Raven' by Edgar Allan Poe. It's a classic that never fails to send shivers down my spine. The way Poe personifies grief through the relentless raven knocking on the chamber door is both eerie and mesmerizing. The refrain ‘Nevermore’ echoes in my mind long after I finish reading, symbolizing the painful inevitability of loss. I love how it encapsulates that feeling of being trapped in one's own sorrow. If you get the chance to dive into it, I recommend reading it aloud. Poe's rhythm is like a dark lullaby that lingers.

Moving on, another gem is 'Mad Song' by William Blake. In this piece, Blake intertwines madness and despair with an almost musical quality that draws you in, leaving you wrestling with intense imagery and profound emotion. The contrast between the joyous tones and the dark subjects creates a chilling sense of duality, making it a captivating read. It really showcases how Blake captures the tumultuous nature of the human psyche, which resonates with anyone who's felt lost in their own thoughts. It feels relatable in a way that makes one think, ‘Wow, I’ve had those feelings too.’

Then there's 'Do Not Go Gentle into That Good Night' by Dylan Thomas. It might not scream 'dark' at first glance, but the struggle against death in this villanelle is incredibly powerful. The repetition of ‘Rage, rage against the dying of the light’ is a cry to fight against the unwelcome embrace of death, which strikes a chord with me every time. It’s raw, passionate, and reveals that fear of losing loved ones, which we all can connect with on some level. Thomas’s use of structured form combined with emotional weight makes it a monumental piece that resonates with the anger and sorrow of mortality.

For a more contemporary touch, 'Funeral Blues' by W.H. Auden is a must-read. This poem beautifully encapsulates the heaviness of grief — the longing, the memories, and that sense of emptiness when someone dear is gone. I can’t help but feel the profound sadness radiating from lines like ‘Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone.’ The imagery is so vivid, and I find myself reflecting on how intensely personal loss can be, making the poem feel like an intimate conversation with the reader. Dark poetry, in all its forms, reveals the raw side of our emotions, and I love how it gives us a space to explore these deeper feelings without fear.

In summary, these pieces have profoundly affected me, each showcasing the power of language to convey the grim realities of life and death. They remind me that there’s a beauty even in darkness and that sharing these feelings bridges connections with others. I always find myself eager to re-immerse in their haunting verses whenever I crave a dive into the depths of human emotion!
