Selene crouched near the fire Luka had built, running her hands over the warmth, grateful for the break.
“We’ll have to cross the glacier field by nightfall,” Luka said, sitting on a nearby rock. “Once we reach the base of the cliffs, we’ll have to go the rest of the way carefully. No trails. No markers.”
Theoden nodded, wiping his blade clean with a cloth. “And after that?”
“There’s an old ravine. Cassiel’s map says the temple entrance is just beyond it. The rest we’ll have to feel.”
Darius leaned back, arms behind his head. “So, what I’m hearing is, ‘blind faith, possible death, and a spooky ancient death vault?’”
