Darkfall Characters Novels & Stories

Adam studied me for a moment before squaring his shoulders as if he had made a decision on something I wasn’t privy to. “Lizzy, Nathanial Devereaux isn’t your father. He’s ours, but your father is Alpha Lucas Montgomery of the Dark Moon pack.” The ground beneath me swayed, and I plopped to the ground, trying to get a handle on the spinning world around me. “I don’t believe you.” I whispered.

He let out a heavy sigh and plopped down on his chair, rubbing his forehead. “Can someone please explain to me what’s going on?” He said after a few minutes, after my mates, Sophie, Mason and Kat entered the room. “When the lights went out I was grabbed by someone, he called me a fallen. He knows what I am. What are we supposed to do?” I blurted out as quickly as I could. Damien went up behind me and put his hands protectively on my hips. “Shhh it’s alright now baby.” He whispered.

"Caleb, please forgive me. I never thought you would be hurt that badly. I wanted you. That's why I agreed to work with Ethan. I just wanted to take you down a notch. I never meant for it to go that far." I walked forward with a mask on and looked down at her. "You just wanted me? You killed my parents! My underage sister was assaulted and murdered! And you call that love? You put me in prison. You had my legs crippled. You took everything my family built. Serena. You've done well for yourself." She coughed up blood and grabbed the hem of my pants. "Caleb, please. Let me look at you one more time. Take the mask off. I've already dealt with Ethan. He was the one you hated most. Live long, Cal

“If Gaia is there, I’ll drag her out myself. Prepare the pack. We leave at once.” Damon hesitated, clearly troubled by the urgency of the situation. “Valtor, there’s something else you need to understand. Dreadfall isn’t just a place. It’s a living, breathing entity. Those who venture there… don’t return the same. If we go there, we’re risking everything.” Valtor’s eyes hardened. “I’m not risking anything. I’m going to get her back.” He turned sharply, not waiting for an answer. His mind was fixed on the journey ahead. The ache of Gaia’s absence weighed heavily on him, driving him to face any danger or challenge. She was out there, and he would find her.

He shook his head. "Daniel Grigori..." He trailed on. I remained confused. He sighed and stood up straight. "I'm a fallen." "Fallen? You're an angel?" I backed away and dissolved into a puddle of laughter. My stomach was shaking now. "Oh-oh my God." I continued laughing and turned to look at my unconscious mother. "He's an angel." I told her, laughing even harder. The 'fallen' looked at me weirdly. "I have met a lot of weird and psychotic human beings but you, Dawn Turner, are by far the worst." I stopped laughing and glared at him.

Before I could pull away and remind him I had unresolved personal space issues, he released me and gestured grandly to the trio behind him. “You’ve already met Zephyr Sylvaran, our airheaded rescue specialist,” he said with a knowing smirk. Zephyr rolled his eyes behind me, his wings flexing just enough to show off. Dick. “This is Professor Liraeth Duskwell,” he continued, nodding to the terrifying armor clad woman with a face that said she once murdered a god and would do it again if you stepped out of line. “And this is Commander Ryn Dravenclaw, one of our external security captains.” Ryn just grunted. Great. We were clearly gonna be besties.

See, among us, Kieran was best at making the best first impression. “Skye Ross. Nina’s roommate,” Skye replied and gave a small smile to Kieran. “I’m sure you know me. I’m Dante Verlice, the Alpha of the Dark Moon pack.” “Shit.” Skye cursed. Her jaw dropped as she took my appearance carefully. “Verlice, as in the one who owned The Verlices?” “The one and only.” For a moment, a shock passed through her eyes, and then she inched closer to Nina. “I can’t believe you’ve been hiding about him all this time,” Skye whispered in a loud voice, making me chuckle.

Her eyes glowed with cosmic blue as if stars lived within them. Draven Stoneheart, the Dwarven King, appeared next, short, broad, hammer slung across his shoulder, , his face a permanent scowl. He grumbled something about “too much ceremony.” And finally, fire flared and took the shape of a woman: Seraphine Dawnfire, the Phoenix Matriarch, her wings a blaze of rebirth, her warmth almost divine and her eyes filled with infinite sadness. I felt my knees buckle beneath their combined aura. Even Lily—who never looked afraid—exhaled in awe.

Very interesting. Before Elara could ask another question, movement near the entrance drew everyone’s attention. A woman entered Nightfall House flanked by two Hollow Crest guards wearing dark tactical uniforms marked with silver insignia. Tall. Sharp-eyed. Controlled in a dangerous way. She slowly removed her black leather gloves as she approached. “Alpha Darius.” “Marshal Vale.” Her gaze shifted immediately toward Elara. Not curious. Assessing. Like she was studying evidence. “You’re smaller than the reports suggested,” the Marshal said.
