My eyes flew open. My stomach dropped into a cold, dark abyss. Archer stood just inside the threshold. The door clicked shut behind him. Every survival instinct I possessed flared to life, screaming at me to run, to hide, to fight. The smooth smile stretching across his face only made the panic spike higher. "Hello, little breeder." I scrambled off the bed instantly, my legs trembling but holding my weight. "What do you want?" Archer took a slow step forward, his hands tucked casually into his pockets. "I came to see how my brother's newest obsession is doing."

“When I was making my way here not long ago, I ran into a pretty arrogant guy, and I got into a conflict with him. He wanted to kill me, but he failed. So, I killed him. His family should be coming for me soon. Can you help me with that?” “Sure sure sure! Of course! David, leave this to me. If his family dares to come to you, I will surely help you take care of it. No one on the Central Sacred Continent dares to disrespect me,” Archimedes yelled as if he had spotted a glimpse of hope. It would be fine if David had any demands. He was worried that David would be stubborn and then directly kill him. If that happened, he would be so aggrieved.

Archer , " To the outside world ,you hate your daughter !! But ,you love your daughter and trying to Abduct the whole property as yours . Don't ever , dream like that !!..... I am a forest fire.....I won't stop if I .... started burning.... There won't be....any mercy...."

“It’s only been what? A month? And here you are, flaunting yourself around with McAlister of all people?” I don’t respond. Not yet. “You know, I thought maybe you just needed space. Time. But clearly, I was wrong.” His voice is rising. “You’re already on to the next shiny thing. Real classy.” Adrian leans back in his seat with a smug smirk, but for once, he doesn’t say a word. Daisy stares at Archer like he just dropped a steaming pile of trash on the table. Archer keeps going. “You always pretended like you weren’t like the rest. Guess I was wrong. Gold digger behavior looks good on you.”

"She wants to play a game in our house, brother. I say we let her. And I say we make it one she has never played before." The silence that followed was a different kind than the one before it. Archer had gone completely still, not the stillness of restraint but the stillness of a predator that has just been handed exactly what it wanted and is taking one measured breath before it moves. His black eyes were bright. The mischievous smile that was his most dangerous expression was spreading across his face with the slow confidence of something inevitable. "I love the sound of that," he said. He turned to Alaric. The smile didn't waver. "Do you like the arrangement, Alaric?"

“Damn, Lyla. You’ve been playing checkers while everyone else is playing chess.” Chad stepped forward. “Abel. Who is he?” Abel let the silence hang before finally saying, “Bailey’s father is the architect.” His words hit me like a big blow to my face “No,” I whispered. “That’s impossible.” Abel shrugged. “You can believe what you want. But the architect wasn’t just some legendary tale; he is real. And his blood runs through Bailey's veins.” My head sparked. The Architect was the name whispered in the darkest corners of the criminal world. A man who built empires, then burned them to the ground when they no longer served him. A ghost. A nightmare.

Archer fell back on his straw bed. He was getting dizzy from everything he had just found out. The soldier in him told him it was right to remain behind, wait to heal, find out more information before leaving. But the romantic in him wanted to burst through the South gates and protect Adalia. He couldn’t imagine who the mastermind behind all of this was, Conan or Xander; those were the only senior commanders he knew. His fists punched into his make shift bed as he let out a loud growl of frustration. He had never felt this useless in his life.

Anna moved her eyebrows up and down with a teasing smile on her lips. Selah rolled her eyes. She's not that interested. But the mention of the man's unique name somehow piqued her curiosity. "Well, yes. Archer Evans. The man who can definitely pierce you with his eyes. A literal archer. And he lives with Mrs. Terry's bungalow." Exaggeration, perhaps. That's how Selah saw it. "Morning classes are about to start. Let's walk faster."

“I’m not a killer.” “How did David get involved with these people?” I asked. “Who put him in contact with you?” “Archer Gray,” she answered immediately. “He’s well known in the Roguelands. He was the one that contacted me and asked me what I would do to get revenge for my parents. I agreed to help, thinking it would make me feel better. In reality, it only made things worse. And now, it might be too late to stop David…” “It isn’t,” Alexander said confidently. “If what you’re saying is true and you can prove it, then we have everything we need to take down both David and Archer. Once they’re out of the picture and the immediate danger is settled, we can track down the rest of their group.”

He squinted in the sunlight, the figure was far too tall to be Cara. Feigning slight disappointment he crouched down to pet the dog. “Archer?” The voice came from the tall, model-like figure. Archer stood up, forcing a polite smile to his face. “Or should I say, Zach Maddox? Which do you prefer?” Her face tilted sideways, mocking him. Archer’s smile dropped as he felt the sarcasm stab at him. “Sorry do I know you?” He asked confusion wavered through his voice.
